I think they changed ownership. The food is not the same. The new employees did not follow instructions on two occasions. I won’t be coming back!

This place has changed a lot. Food is losing its touch. The food is dry and tasteless. The employees seem unhappy with attitudes. The owner used to always be there, and she would sing happily while taking orders. Employees choose who they want to show respect to!! I asked for salt while earing there. I was given 1 package while someone next to me asked, and she gave him the salt shaker. My food was served on a slinky paper plate while the next person was served the same item on a restaurant style plate.. anyways I will never go back!! I had been eating there for well over 8 years faithfully

I ordered mole with chicken and they gave me broth with uncooked chicken

Ok ....First time here looks like a Mom and Pop shop .As soon as you walk in you are Greeted by the cashier's . It's a small restaurant but you can see that the tables are very nice and clean inside and outside dining area . I ordered 6 tacos . Two cabesa ....two carnitas and two tripitas . Wow ....These tacos are EXCELLENT . Very Authentic.I even ended up ordering two more of Tripitas which are really crispy and clean The cabesa tacos we're very soft and flavor full . The carnitas tacos were cooked perfect as well ...crispy on the outside but tender on the inside and NOT GREASY at all .The Young ladies bring you your food to your table with plenty of sides ...hot sauce both red and green ...onions with cilantro ...lemons...radishes....carrots an onion in vinegar also a jalapeno that's been roasted on the grill and there's also a side bar if you need more . The Young ladies working the cashier gave me Excellent Customer Service and there is Plenty of Parking aswell. I give them Five stars ⭐. I will be returning real soon . Thanks Zavalas staff for making my first visit a Great Experience.
Came for some side order stye simplest thing you can order here small side of beans and rice ...well they took over 1 the to give me that and wen it was 30 min in I asked if my order was ready and the cashier said no and I asked why if it's just beans and rice thinking she may have forgotten about but no she replies with that order takes a while to make ....I was thrown back I wanted to ask her if I can go plate them myself all I need is a container and a spoon it's ridiculous and the singing was super annoying by the lady she wouldn't stop
