Drove from San Francisco twice in a week. Once you open the door is a different world, great atmosphere, staff is very courteous and helpful, Food is so good you want to lick the plate.. Love this place

My wife and I had an amazing dinner (feast) here last weekend. Everything from the ambiance to the food and service was 10/10. It’s now one of our favorite restaurants on the peninsula. Perfect date night spot! Will definitely be back.

A group (6) of us went to celebrate a friends retirement and it was the first time for all of us at Amara. We wanted to to try a variety of dishes since they all sounded so good! James was our waiter, he was amazing and helped us come up with a selection that that was a mix of their Mezzes, Share Plates and Large plates. Their pita bread was to die for, it was so delicious and it helped us sop up every last bit of the sauces from each dish. James also made a suggestion of an off menu Cabbage ( shared plate) that hands down we all loved. The Branzino , the raviolis, Broccoli, egg plant and Muhammara all were delicious with wonderful flavors!! And like I said earlier James was an amazing waiter and contributed to our wonderful meal. I definitely plan on going back 😋

Oscar , Amara Menu was amazing, the food preparation was so different than what I tasted, very cleverly announced , the Avocado Tartare had a sparkling tangy taste and a little pinch of fire but I enjoyed it , your Mom Loved the lamb and the sweet savory taste of the Sauce was delicious. I had the Hanger Steak also Delicious! I have to admit I was envious of your Mom’s Lamb , but next time ! We wished we had the doublling portions of the Chocolate Pate ! James , was an excellent server, very friendly and attentive ! We had Marvelous, Delectable experience!! Thanks again

The owners were so welcoming, kind, and down to earth, which made the experience even more meaningful. The staff made our night unforgettable with their warm and generous service.

The interior design is so beautiful and welcoming. The service was amazing they were very knowledgeable of the menu and helpful. The food was so Felicia you get so much variety for what you pay for. We went for Valentine's Day and had an amazing time.

Excellent food and ambience! Bright and spacious layout. We were seated immediately, and the wait staff was initially very attentive. The only oddball occurrence was that the food took an exceptionally long time to arrive. Eventually, the main dishes came out before the appetizers. Apparently, multiple waiters are assigned to each table to minimize poor service. Ironically, this caused confusion and a delay in food delivery. Hoping that it's an isolated incident, because the ravioli and branzino are too good to pass up.

Used to live in Belmont some years ago and visited Belmont Village often before Amara was set up. Revisiting the Village and seeing this nicely set up establishment brings me joy. Was here for a corporate event with a prie fixe shared menu - the food was very good and service was excellent. The place, which was sizeable including several areas and bar, was half full on a weekday night. I like how it overlooks the garden and nursery and the ambiance was very relaxed. I liked the salad, eggplant and the meats. Too full for dessert. Good experience overall.

This place is decorated beautifully, the food is great. We had a large party of 25 people, next to us, at the bar and fireplace while we were dining so it was difficult to talk. The party was having a good time, after every speech a loud round of applause made it hard to enjoy our meal. I will ask next time before I book a reservation. This was a nice birthday meal even if it was really noisy, and the server was super nice.
