Overall, the food was good some dishes did need more seasonings, its was very bland. The soup dumplings didn’t have much soup in them and it was mostly filling. As for the tea they don’t charge you how much you get they charge you for each person that drinks it. The service was ok they took a while to give us more tea. However the environment was chill and calm. All in all its was nice experience.

WATCH OUT FOR FOREIGN OBJECT in WONTON!

We visited this place in November and found a foreign object in the wonton soup (see in the picture). It looks like a part form stainless steel scrubbers. However, when we showed this to the server, the server said NOTHING about it, no apology, no discount, no nothing.

Today we decided to give this place a second chance, and ordered roasted duck wonton soup. It came out to be only HALF the portion of what's shown in pictures from other yelp customers. We confronted with her and presented the pictute. She just kept denying it and say it's not the same store, even though we showed her the store name.

I am very disappointed. Plus every time I visited, I have to wait for very long time for the server to respond to my request, even during non rush hour like 3pm. Would never visit this store again and please expect foreign object when you order Wonton or any other food from this store.

Wow! Where do I begin
Went in for lunch and ordered Seafood Chow Fun and thought to myself, what could go wrong?
Well little did I know but I came back from the ghastly foul odors bathroom and noticed a gloopy array of noodles swimming in some bland corn starched flavored sauce
The fish and shrimp were okay, but if you have weak teeth or dentures beware! Because the Calamari was harder to chew than the brand new tires on my Tesla
I could only eat half of the meal before I went to the bathroom and regurgitated the Chow Fun slop
Upon receiving the bill I complained gently at first. But upon getting pushback from the rude waitress who said it was my fault for not ordering something else. (I tried to order something else, but everything that looked palpable had pork in it. When I asked her about having it without pork it was no can do. So Chow fun it was)
The person at the register would not honor The $10 coupon that was just handed to me.
I told him that this was absurd, and the meal should be complementary, considering that I left the remnants of it in the bathroom toilet.

I got angrier and angrier when they said for me to come back in the next time to use the coupon. And I explained to them why would I come back to this place

Places always believe that the customer is right and that should’ve been complementary but not this place

For some reason they decided to use that $10 coupon and I walked away paying eight dollars per something that should’ve been gratis
I have some take-home that I was going to give to my neighbors cat, but on second thought I’m just gonna flush it down the disposal because I don’t wanna make my neighbors cat sick

Avoid this place at all costs, literally

I’ve been coming here since I was 11 years old back when it was china village seafood restaurant. I’m a Belmont native. I had lunch here recently with my Godfather and it’s really changed!! The name is different, and the decor surprisingly looks very outdated, like 70’s/80’s vibe🤷🏻‍♀️

The staff seemed nice enough,
But had to request silverware. They only gave us 1 menu in Chinese and the food items and prices were difficult to figure out. We were the only patrons who weren’t Asian so the atmosphere definitely caters towards Asian/ Chinese people. I didn’t feel fully welcomed here, and the food was okay, but it used to be fantastic!!!!! As little as 2 years ago when I moved from Belmont here to San Jose.
With old decor, sub-par food and not feeling welcomed here, I most likely won’t be back. The food is also pretty pricey for what you get and I feel like there’s just better options out there for Chinese.

Order Sliced Duck Set (roasted duck is regarded as sliced duck, the skin is not crispy👎👎👎) The dishes are too greasy, there is a bit too much MSG. I have a good drink after eating, the service attitude is very average, I will not come back in the future

Came here for a late lunch on a weekend, and there was no wait. We tried the black bass and the pea shoots. The flavor of the black bass was good, but it wasn’t super tender. The pea shoots were solid - yummy and not too salty. The menu seemed to have a lot of options and seemed to be quite authentic, but the dishes we ordered were pretty standard and nothing outstandingly special.

They put me off coming back with their attitude when it came time to pay. They forced me to tip. I usually do, but the arrogant attitude bothered me. The food was so-so and they took a while to serve it.

The roast pork was average, a little too oily, and the chicken still had a little blood. The hot pot chicken is good! The bean sprouts are too old. The clear beef brisket soup was pretty good. The service was slow and the wrong one was served. Tingzi porridge is too thin and tastes average.
