Great food!
This hidden gem is my new favorite Spanish restaurant. We went here for a friend’s birthday dinner, and I will be coming back! They have a great selection of traditional and very delicious Tapas, as well as a phenomenal Paella. And make sure to save room for dessert because their deserts are out of this world. The ambience was also very nice. It’s upscale, but not overly formal. As far as prices go, it’s certainly a special occasion sort of bill, but for the quality and quantity of food it is right on track.
Parking: The parking is street parking along El Camino. We were able to get a spot close by, but if you’re not comfortable with intense parallel parking along a busy street, you may want to make a few extra minutes to find a lot.
Kid-friendliness: Young kids and picky eaters won’t find their traditional “chicken tenders” on the menu, but there are plenty of friendly dishes without any spice.

I placed them takeout order over the phone. And there was a Service charge that is about the 10% of my total bill. I don’t think it has a reasonable because I only ordered two items, It is effortless. Call back get credit back, We’re still the service charge is listed on the menu. I explained why I ordered I didn’t look at the menu, And it is mentioned when I place order over the phone. If the service charge is referring to taking my order over the phone for two minutes, Packing up my takeout order for using less than three minutes. It is absolutely Ridiculous To get this much of Service charge.

When they initially opened , the paella quantity was good . Now it’s shrinking and the plating is thin and spread out . Hope the shrinkflation improves . Taste is good.

UPDATE-5 stars to the owner who reached out, offered his apologies and provided a gift certificate to return to the restaurant, which we did. The restaurant is really charming and its smaller size makes it feel more intimate that alot of other restaurants of its caliber.
The food was definitely "fine cuisine" but even for tapas, the proportions were small, the bobmas! had almost no beef, the grilled rustic bread was charred so much it was ashy and the one item we most wanted, braised oxtail, was sold out by 8pm. The Sangria from the bar was awesome but it is not on the menu (we asked the server if Iberia made their own)
The service, although friendly, was not overly welcoming or inspiring. When we arrived, there were more empty tables than full tables and yet there were questions about whether we had a reservation. At 8:50, the bar section of the restaurant was shut down and the lights turned off while finishing our dessert. As mentioned below, our party felt the 20% mandatory service charge does not motivate the servers to go the extra mile for the diners.
ORIGINAL REVIEW
After standing in the reception area for 5 minutes for our 7:45 reservation with multiple staff passing us by, we were rudely told we did not have reservations and told (not offered) with a hint of derision and scorn to sit in the corner of the bar. Advising the owner confirmed the reservation by telephone earlier in the day, it only got worse once we were seated in the tiny dining room as 15 minutes went by and no waitress and noticed most of the other diners had drinks but no food.
Still waiting and discussing whether to stay, we discovered a 20% mandatory tip stated on the bottom of the menu. This feels like price gouging and clearly the staff are not incentivized to provide good service to the customers. We walked out at 8:15 just as the waitress came over to our table.

The food is way too salty and oily. Definitely not worth it.

Not too many veg options (expected for a Spanish tapas place). They were nice enough to offer to make a veg Paella, but we didn’t try it since it would take more than 40 minutes
