The Iron Gate Restaurant is simply fabulous! The Ambiance, Food & Service impeccable! True, french & Italian flavors. Many dishes served Flambé at your table such as Steak Diane! And the Deserts are to die for... Cherries Jubilee... it just doesn't get any better especially for A Birthday, Anniversary or any time you want to be spoiled! You simply can't go wrong at the Iron Gate!

I've been dining at the Iron Gate for decades and with each visit the remarkab6gets even better. The owner actually cares deeply about each and every guest at his establishment and helps with the dishes prepared at your table. The bar has has a wonderful selection of alcohol as well as their fine wine menu. If you love fine Mediterranean food prepared by a real chef then this is the place for you. Best in the entire Bay Area. And try the cafe diablo, and it does have a variety of alcohol within this delightful after-dinner and unique coffee.

Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Location is great and parking is relatively easy to find. We had chicken parm and shrimp and both very tasty and delicious but I expect a little more in terms of flavor for the price.

We have been dining at The Iron Gate for years. It is our favorite restaurant for any celebration. The food , ambiance and service is top of the line. Old school fine dining! Never disappoints.

The Iron Gate has always been a favorite for over 30 years. We love the staff and service. (Just sit there and enjoy watching everyone feel at home.) I prefer their menu on a daily basis but their set menu had a great selection. Quality was not what you would get on a daily basis but when you have a full house I respect you do what you feel is right for a Thanksgiving feast.

Iron Gate has the best Steak Diane and the best soufflé you'll find anywhere — period. I've been coming here for years, and nothing else compares. The Steak Diane is always perfectly cooked, rich, and full of flavor, and the soufflé is flawless every single time. Combine that with great service and a classic, welcoming atmosphere, and it's one of the few restaurants that truly never disappoints.

We have a great experience for my birthday diner here. The food is great and they will cook the food in front of you if you order a flambé dish. For appetizer we got the escargot, french onion soup, clam chowder and fried zucchini blossom. The zucchini blossom was the best appetizer for us and the escargot is ok but not as good as the other appetizers. For main course we got Flambé Veal with mustard sauce, Sear Tuna, Scallops and New York Steak. I think the Flambé Veal dish was the best entree we have. The veal was juicy and tender and the sauce was great. We also get to see the veal being cooked right in front of us. All in all it was a great night and I recommend everyone to come here for your special day.
