We ordered kashke bademjan, koobideh, barg, and tahdig with ghorme sabzi. Kashke bademjan and tahdig were amazing! But the mains were pretty disappointing...koobideh and barg didn't have any seasoning, very tasteless. Def recommend their kashke bademjan though!

Lovely dining experience. Appetizers were amazing and the Lamb Kabob was perfectly cooked. We dined at 5pm on a Wednesday, service and staff were friendly and never waited more than 5 minutes for our meal. Highly recommend this place!.

By far the best customer service among all the Persian restaurants in the San Francisco greater Bay Area. The stews are low in salt & oil unlike regular Persian stews, this definitely will not satisfy everyone's taste. The kabobs are good as always.

Great food, hard-working staff, great experience every time.

Rude person answering the phone. Rude person when I went to pick up the order. Such a ridiculous amount of rice in proportion to the meat. Food was OK. Aria in Palo Alto is so much better.

Lamb chops and dolmeh were not bad, but the customer experience was tepid. They never checked on me or refilled my glass.

Shalizaar is a hidden gem that offers a culinary journey through Persian flavors. The dishes were fresh, vibrant, and absolutely delicious — a true feast for the senses. The service was impeccable, making the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. A special shoutout to Navit, who went above and beyond to ensure our meal was perfect. Can’t wait to return for more!

This is THE place to go for Persian food in the Bay Area. All the entrées are delicious, and they even have a couple of vegetarian options. If you have room after enjoying your meal, try their tea and one (or more) of their Persian desserts.

This review is for the banquet hall. We had a banquet of 70 people on Nov 2, 2024 for an Anniversary and Retirement party. From start to finish both Naveed and Shawn were extremely easy and pleasant to work with. I could tell they had done this a many, many times and had all the answers. They even had an easel to put the seating chart on. The food was absolutely amazing. We used the normal banquet menu and just added the herbs & nuts & feta (sabzi). The wine was very good and the wine & beer table worked out really well. The hall and the audio/visual equipment was perfect for our 2 group dances and our one couples dance. They even had a mircrophone we could use. The price point was perfect. We had 3 disabled people, one in a wheel chair, and entrance was easy for them. We used both the parking lot and street parking and no one complained so I assume it was great. We also had about 6 children and it was very kid-friendly. Shalizaar made our celebration the best party I've ever been to. The tables & lighting & mural provided a magical atmosphere. The service was excellent. I VERY highly recommend using Shalizaar's banquet facilities for your celebration.

High-quality Persian restaurant. They serve delicious kababs and stews, have a nice ambiance and service is good. The complementary fresh bread, cheese, and herbs are great.

The food is always great! What I don’t understand is why online here in google says one price. Then what I was charged says another thing. no one clarified over the phone saying anything about this is what it costs knowing that there might be other menus out there that show different prices. I got the phone number from Google. I got the menu from Google. I’m not going to know that this is an updated menu. I feel like if you’re online pricing for somebody placing a delivery order is not matching what they’re going to be charged that’s false information and should always be confirmed first. I wouldn’t have ordered what I ordered. Had I known that it was going to be almost $30 more than what the posted price says it is. And this was not with the delivery fee added this was just what it cost. As shown below it says something very different for the price. This was over $100 everything included. I’ve eaten at the restaurant before and my husband and I split the exact same dish and the appetizer and left a nice tip and that was only about $80. I called to ask why it didn’t match up with their online and I was given a bogus answer of sorry that’s not our fault. It is the company’s fault if it’s not clarified! I have no desire to eat here for a while.
