I wish there was a 6th star to give Umami Togo!! The food is delicious! We had the yellow curry chicken family meal and it was delicious. It is so flavorful and filling. My 9yo had two bowls too! I've been getting personal lunches and family dinners here for several years now, but now during this COVID lockdown, I especially appreciate the yummy, healthy food prepared by someone else. Family dinners come in several lasagna pans so all you need to do is pop them in the oven -- no disinfection necessary since reheating kills the virus. It has been great to have a couple nights a week that I don't have to think about making dinner based on what I have on hand. So if you are tired of thinking about grocery shopping, instacarting, and cooking, give Umami ToGo a try. (The menu is up on the website for the whole month.)

I workout at F45 and order my challenge meals from Mike here for the whole 8 week duration. The food is always delicious, and not to mention healthy and fresh! Michael goes the extra mile to make sure that the food is properly packaged and labelled. Honestly, I don't know how I would even survive the challenge if not for Mike's food. I would even be willing to eat these every day even when I'm not on the challenge. Highly recommended!

I just started ordering the Umami to go lunches about 3 weeks ago and am super happy with everything across the board! I am always on the go and don't always have time to grab food for lunch while at work. I am probably doordash's #1 customer because of my schedule hahaha..... and quite honestly I just don't always have the time and energy to cook and meal prep on my days off. I work out at F45 and remembered seeing something about prepped meals through Umami so I thought I would give it a try. There is a great variety of meals and they have all been delicious so far! I'm saving money and eating healthier. I love that the labels on the packaging give all of the nutritional info and the meal portions are healthy and keep me satisfied. Michael is great at answering questions and communicating promptly and also checking in with me if I need meals for the week because I often forget to send my order! I definitely recommend Umami -To Go! Hopefully i have a reason to try out the full catering service one of these days!

Umami To Go makes creative, delicious and innovative meals - even their healthiest entrees taste mouthwateringly good! I've been ordering lunch and dinner from them for the last 8 weeks - for a specialized diet - and the food is always on time, attractively presented and SO much better than anything I could make myself. I love the carnitas with jicama wraps, "lasagne" with layered grilled squashes and eggplant, Thai basil chicken, burritos with black beans and grilled chayote squash... I highly, highly recommend Umami To Go.

I've been ordering Mike's family meals for a couple of months now and I can't say enough good things! We've tried several of the other food services (Blue Apron & Hello Fresh) and Umami's meals are healthier, tastier, fresher, require zero preparation and clean-up and are competitively priced. We have a six-year old son and he'll eat the majority of the meals we order ... this is not an easy feat! I've recently also begun ordering the lunches and have been equally satisfied. The menu is dynamic and offers enough variety (salads, different meat options, seafood, vegetarian) that we never get bored. For families with two working parents, this is the solution that you've been looking for!

Ordered lunch last week for the wife and I. Picked up a Chinese Style Salad, a Korean BBQ Beef Banh Mi, and a Beet Salad. Loved, loved and loved. We were pleased from the very moment we opened the delivery bag and removed the containers from within. The packaging of the food was tasteful, elegant, classy. I don't usually get a hard on from food containers, but this time was different because it told me that whoever was in charge of this food cared about the product and delivering a first rate experience. I was hopeful the food would have the same qualities... Tasteful, elegant and classy. And I'm happy to say that it did not disappoint in the least. I was a Korean BBQ Banh Mi virgin, so I don't have much to compare it to, but I must say I'm glad Umami deflowered me. The salads were awesome. My favorite was the Beet Salad; I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. I could literally eat it every single day. The ingredients were mighty tasty and felt super fresh... honestly can't remember last time I've felt this strongly about ingredients. I loved the combination of the oranges in that salad; not something I've had with beets before but the pairing was a delight. The dressings were very tasty as well... bad dressing is my wife's biggest pet peeve outside of her husband, so when she enthusiastically approved the salad dressings I knew we were in for a successful meal. All in all, I highly recommend this place. It's a great lunch. Very satisfying. Portions were perfect; hit the spot without making me bloated. I will be a repeat customer.

Got the Okie Wrap and the Wasabi Umami Bowl. Okie Wrap was disappointing. I wasn't sure what to expect, and if I got what was expected, then I'm bummed. Bearing in mind that I don't know if this is the style - for me, the meat was dry and tough. I would have liked it to be more tender and moist, but perhaps this is just the cultural style for it to be served as such - in which case I appreciate it. Additionally, the wrap in its entirety was bland, and I didn't even realize there was whole grain mustard in it, until I went to review the menu just now (... to order for a 3rd day in a row =). This has to be an outlier. On the other hand, the Wasabi Bowl was out of this world. The dressing brings it all together, and better yet, even though it's wasabi - it was prepared in such a way that it didn't do that crazy thing to my nose. TKO, and redeemed the meal. I'd like to eat it every day. You get a choice of substrate for the bowls - white rice, brown rice, or salad. I would ordinarily get rice, because I find having starches complements foods. I tried the salad, though, and it was that good that I didn't miss having rice.

Umami ToGo is one of the new best kept secrets here in town! Mike and his team create delicious and locally sourced meals that are to die for. To top if off some of the local food delivery companies now also pick up at Umami ToGo so ordering food is super easy! I know each time I place an order with Umami ToGo I'm getting healthy and creative food that also tastes amazing. Plus, they do corporate lunches, and if you order through Mike, your company will be super impressed.

Catered food doesn't have to taste bad or cheap, but it often does. They have so many tasty options, but if you can't find what you like, have them customize a menu to your liking. The food is dynamite.
