A staple of tiburon. A place that has phenomenal views, amazing drinks and delicious food. Def a must when in the area. Tried two of their cocktails - the one with the jalapeño was def amazing then I went with the Negroni. Also ordered the lobster roll which was so good. The buttered bread was def perfection. The clam chowder..bc duh. And also tried the blue cheese garlic bread which was also really good! Sam's def doesn't disappoint.

Great brunch spot that fills up quickly. Eating outside on a nice day is beautiful. The crab fries and their oysters, along with their Mai Tai, are all great.

this place is sooooooooo good service is amazing and food is even better, The pokey chips are my go to snack and the bartenders are the best. Michael is an incredible bartender, and he makes the drinks taste insanely delicious. 10/10

I come here for brunch all the time and it never ever disappoints. Best fish and chips ever. The oysters are unreal and the ciopinno is also one of our favorites. Beautiful views, heaters outside, and quick service. Portions are pretty large too! Perfect for time with friends and family.

I don't really reccomend Sam's anchor cafe, primarily due to the poor service and sub par dishes. First of all - The hostess was very rude and mocked my friend in a manner which i have never seen an adult do before. I wonder if the employee was racist or prejudice because my friend was black and our group we didn't look like the rich locals. I was initally very excited to eat here after a long hike at Angel island, to enjoy the aesthetic of the restaurant location and enjoy some delicious local seafood, but the experience did not meet my expectations. We waited an hour for our table, which i was totally fine with me since they told us upfront that it would be a 1-1.5 hour wait - I was expecting for it to be a worthwhile wait. My group ordered a variety of dishes and only one was described as being worth the cost and enjoyable, which was the crab cakes with apple salad. We also had the argula & seafood salad, tacos, smoked lobster roll, oyesters, and clam chowder. Both the arugula&seafood salad and smoked lobster rolls were described to have little dressing & sauce and thus not very flavorful, kind of bland and unexciting. The tacos were described as OKAY but nothing special as would be expected by the price of the dish. To end with the few positives: the bartenders were welcoming, hard at work and made amazing drinks. They make decadent Mai Tais, my friend enjoyed a lovely summer cucumber coconut cocktail. The ambiance was enjoyable & relaxing with a wonderful location right next the ocean and yacht club. The design of the indoor eating area was also attractive due to it's large windows and the aesthetic of it's large doors were lovely as well. Overall, eating at Sam's anchor cafe was a sad waste of my time and money, and so unfortunate because they have a beautiful location and the resources to provide a special dining experience.

Predatory servers that talk trash about the customers in Spanish, unfortunately for them, I speak Spanish and understood what they were saying. Basically judging all the customers on appearance to try to get the tables that they think would tip well. My wife and I were dressed in mountain biking clothes and they must have judged that we did not "have money" because I literally did not see the server after we got our food and had to go to the bar to get my water refilled. When I asked the busboy to get our server I saw him go to the server and he told him that we wanted more water/ ice tea and I saw the server say "fuck them". The food was regular and overall a bad experience that made us feel less than. Marin is a very beautiful place but unfortunately this place is ugly.

Honestly, the only thing that I'm giving this place a star for is the view and the really nice hostess. We came here for a couple drinks and enjoy a nice meal with the view, but unfortunately, our server barely came by our table after dropping off some water and drinks. We had ordered a bowl of clam chowder, and for $15. It was probably the smallest and most blandest clam chowder I have ever had and it didn't even come in a bread bowl lol. After finally getting the servers attention we wanted to order the seafood tower, and then 15 minutes later he comes by and he's like I'm sorry the kitchen is out of oysters, but I can still bring out the other stuff on the tower if you had ordered it a couple minutes ago you could've had it. How would we have ordered it if you never stopped by the table? I would probably try a different restaurant when I'm in the area, this place barely has any options anyways and apparently they run out of their specialties pretty fast during the day.

Great location, everything was fresh and service was outstanding. We sat outside overlooking the docks, the weather was a bit chilly and the staff brought us blankets. Would recommend!

There’s a very good reason that folks are lining up in front of Sam’s Anchor Cafe. Their menu is exceptional and everything we ordered sitting outside overlooking the bay was delicious.

Last year I got a Travelzoo email that mentioned Tiburon lodge and I looked up what I could do in Tiburon. Sam's Anchor Cafe stood out and I finished my day trip to Tiburon Marin Co with a blasting lobster roll! The menu is good and this is a really good seafood restaurant with all the classics. Nelson was friendly. It's bar seating with stools. Pace is good and I want to try more items. This lobster roll was a blast. Check out the neon sign. Tiburon is a nook like England in USA.

Very overrated. Besides the sunny terrasse the food is served in very little portion with no fun. Even European portions would be bigger than those. I ended up with a bill of more than $75 per person and would still be very happy to have dinner despite a late lunch. Forget the idea of a box. You won't have enough in your plate for that
