This place is amazing and worth the stop! The pastries and coffee are delicious. You must try the bombolini! The pizza looks and smells appetizing but I have yet to try it. Staff is friendly, facilities are clean and I've never had trouble with parking.

Real Italian desserts and food isolated off the beaten pathGreat staff, amazing treats. Highly recommend the pistachio cream cheese. World
My buddy and I were on our way to the Ace Hardware in Ben Lomond close to lunch time and on his suggestion we stopped in. We ordered a half pepperoni and since it was a Friday during lent, half artichoke / anchovy. Being from Chicago, I tend to be a little picky about pizza but this was really really good. Thin crust, fresh ingredients. The pastries look awesome as well but will save those for the next visit.

WOW! Killer spot. You must go. I went on a whim on a rainy night in Felton seeking pizza to bring me warmth, and La Placa brought me the joy I needed and more. The spot itself is big and spacious and comfy to just hang out in, but I was on a mission to bring home the pizza and had to return another day (morning, in fact) to try the pastry. More on that soon. The staff is terrific! Knowledgeable and kind. Made me feel at home right away. :-) I actually wondered if I made an error in making the order to go -- we should have brought wine to the shop and made a party right there! Ahhh . . . well, anyhow, I made the rainy windy trek back home and was super stoked on the flavors and everyone had many kind words about this hidden pizza spot in the woods. Truly amazing to discover! A few days later we returned for pastry in the morning and they did not disappoint. We happened to have our own coffee because we are cool like that, brewing at home, you know how elites roll -- but the pastry was not something we could make at home -- super super yummy! Flaky, fresh, sweet, just what we needed to get a jump start on the day. But seriously, that pizza?! WOW. We got five flavors because who can decide! Just get them all. Oh, and I picked up some almond based cookies for dessert on pizza night plus some crazy tasca or tosca flaky puff cream thing they made and I was dying with pleasure. Can you do that? Well, I did. I shall be back and you shall go NOW. Deal? :-)

I love stopping here for a coffee and one of the unique desserts. Also, the pizza is the best in the country.

This is my favorite place to get the best real Italian dolci!!!! Every bite of sfogliateli brings a taste of beautiful Italy from the North to the South regions. They have it all! And I like the fact that the size of the sweets very European, so I don't have to worry my calories:) And I did mention about pizza!!!!!!! You absolutely have to try it : you can eat it there under colossal trees in the shade or simply take it home. And of course the family who work in La placa and workers are super friendly ! Sono bravissimi e gentilissimi! Sono sempre sorridenti! They are super cool!
