I recently became gluten-free and vegan. I have struggled to find restaurants that can accommodate my diet, but Aroma was wonderful.
My family and I were immediately greeted and seated. Friendly staff and patient when answering questions regarding my dietary needs.
We ordered the vegan dal makhani (make sure to request it vegan!), veggie pakura, and they have gluten-free naan made with chickpea flour! So far this is the only Indian restaurant I’ve found that makes a bread with chickpea flour which is gluten-free.
The serving sizes are generous compared to other Indian restaurants I’ve eaten at. An order of dal makhani generously feeds two hungry people, but we were able to make it work for three. An order of white rice comfortably feed three. The chickpea flour naan comes with two pieces, and they are very large. The regular naan also comes with two generous pieces. An order of veggie pakura is a generous portion, comfortably fed three of us, but could feed four. Whenever I’m in Benicia, I will be back!

I ordered the chicken in fenugreek sauce, I think it was called methi chicken and it's one of the best chicken curries I've ever had! The plain naan was also delicious and flavorful. I will definitely be coming here again when I'm in Benicia.

The food is outstanding and the service is top tier. The staff is very friendly and and always welcoming. I usually go in for pick-up, but dine in is great too. The lunch buffet is a great deal and has a good variety. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Benicia. One of the staff members Sukh is really great and remembers me and my wife's usual order.

Absolutely amazing. I truly can’t believe I haven’t eaten here until today. Only the third time I’ve eaten Indian cuisine. I did there all you can eat deal. It’s a small selection but holy cow, it was hot fresh tons of flavor, delicious, filling. I definitely recommend it especially if you are thinking about eating Indian food I recommend this spot. The female employee here was an absolute pleasure. Thank you Sun for a wonderful meal

Everyone at the table was impressed by how delicious their meal was. The lamb tikki marsala was amazing. Server Sukh was attentive and pleasant. Being asked at the end of the meal to leave a review was new as was the server asking if we planned to tip in cash and then encouraging a cash tip.
