Booked Kimono same day for a quick birthday lunch for my daughter and she drove up from Sacramento. First time visiting and I have lived in Solano County now for 9 years. Nice ambience, staff welcoming , seated quickly and servers were nice. We ordered the garlic and spicy oysters, spicy edamame, double spicy ocean roll for appetizers and everything was great! Our lunch entrees consisted of Teppan Steak, chicken and lemon garlic shrimp, which included soup or salad and veggie or chicken fried rice, we also order noodles. There was no fail there, our Hibachi Chef Eric was awesome and everything was great! No need to hit up Benihana's or Hana Japan when you live so much closer; though I live closer to Hinata Japanese Steakhouse. The price for seven people was under 500 and that included beverages.

We love kimono! It is super expensive for our young kids who barely eat anything and have to get a full multi course meal but the show makes it worth it for special occasions.

Great place to have my birthday dinner! I loved it! Our chef was also great with my 3 year old grandson.

I had the Steak Yakisoba and my wife had the lunch boat with steak. Both were excellent. The service was outstanding! One of our favorite lunch places.

Monica

Good food and service but we should have been offered the option to sit on the patio because I thought our reservation was for inside the restaurant.

It seemed like a trip to the 1970s. I don't know what I was expecting, but I like Japanese food and didn't realize we would have the Benihana experience. It was fine for what it was, but not what we were looking forward to.

My family has been to Kimonos a few times for special occasions & we were here for my 70th birthday last night. It didn’t start or end good. We were seated at the teppanyaki table where a party of 4 were seated. We were a party of 5 & were squished at the other end where my grandson had to sit at an added table behind the chef. Then there was an air conditioning vent blowing on us & we asked if they could do something about it, they did not. We ate with our coats on & our food got cold quickly from the cool air. The chef did not do a good job with dividing the portions evenly or entertaining The food was just ok & this was the worst experience I’ve had at this restaurant. For my 70th birthday dinner it was just very disappointing & sad.

Went for dinner tonight. Wanted to try this place since I drove by it frequently. Wanted to stay away from benihana type of dishes. We ordered the fried rice, it was ok, needed more flavor and not worth the cost. Vegetable tempura was ok but again, not worth it. Tempura udon was what it was, nothing special. Tried the special Kimono oyster, not bad but I thought it was raw, not cooked. If I go out for japanese food again, won't be here. I would give it 2.5 stars if I could but 3 stars would be pushing it.

I ordered a salad. I am vegan so my choices were a bit limited but for $28 bucks it was a bit disappointing and boring. It was beautiful but over priced and underwhelming. The other food looked amazing that our large party was having. Service was great and it was speedy. My husband's sushi roll he said was a bit dry. The restaurant is beautiful and in a great location 👌 I want to come back and try the veggie tempura rice bowl and see how that is. Also the Plum Wine Sangria 🍷 drink is on point. So good and refreshing. Restrooms were clean and stocked. I will definitely be back.
