Move atmosphere ANDi think it's time to do some deep dusting. Sat upstairs at the bar that overlooks the bakery bustle. Notice that the glass covered bar that we were sitting at has a lot of debris underneath the glass which distracts from the original intent. Then I got to look in around at the HVAC pipes that run lengthwise across ( overheard) bakery

We were visiting from out of town and heard that we needed to add this to our stop. My order was taken right away and checkout was easy, it was just a bit crowded so I took it to go. I’m so glad I got some treats and food here, it was by far the best tart and croissant I ever had! We’re definitely coming back again!

They raised prices, again.
Listen, I don’t think you’ll find many people arguing that they don’t make delicious products. But we’ve all gotten brainwashed into thinking a cafe raising their prices again and again is normal or a pleasant experience. I bought a small drip coffee - just a black coffee - and it’s 5 dollars. If you get the pastries or a bite to eat, you’re not walking away for under $30 usually. This is the kind of thing that makes me want to go here less, or I feel like the owners are just trying to find out what they can get away with. It’s too much. I will be coming here much less, this level of price increases (and the frequency) is out of control.

Came in the other day for 2 brownies & a small hot chocolate made with 1/2 n half to go.
Paid $22.00 Brownies were mediocre at best & hot chocolate which was too hot to drink and after I left got half way to the freeway & realized they must have made it with non fat milk.
It was so terrible I had to throw it out...
Super disappointed 😞 & a waste of money 💰

One House Bakery is one of the best spots in Benicia for baked goods. The pastries and bread are clearly made with care, showing strong technique and quality ingredients. Flavors are well balanced and consistently fresh. The space feels warm and inviting, and the staff is efficient and friendly. A dependable choice for excellent bakery items and an overall solid experience.

10/10 all around! This was my first time to the bakery and I loved everything about it. There is plenty of seating inside, outside and upstairs! Lots of small groups but also families were there. The food was sooooo good and I genuinely cannot wait to go back! I highly recommend! Seems like a very popular spot since there was literally a line out the door when we first arrived but it went by so fast. This honestly gave us time to look at the menu before having to order which was actually perfect!

I enjoyed the atmosphere. We ate outside on a large porch with a tree in the middle. They provide blankets if you get a little chilled. Good food.

One House has always been my go to bakery for the last 3 years. Unfortunately they have been disappointing me for this last year. As much as I spend in this place it has not been worth it. The blueberry filled brioche donut was literally 3 bites and costed me $6. The chocolate brioche donut was the normal size donut but very dense and nothing special to it for $5. My chocolate cream tart was packed in a hurry and the top was sliding off.
The ingredients are fresh, local, and organic but for that price you would expect something that stands out.
THIS IS JUST MY OPINION. Like I said in the beginning this was my go to bakery for years and this is the first time I needed to do a review. I will try again next weekend but if I receive what I received today I will probably stop going there.
The atmosphere is great for pictures though. Great for social media.

Everything is delicious. It's really crowded, so we usually order in advance and take out.
