My sister and I truly enjoyed our late lunch experience at Sailor Jack's. IN addition, we both love the foods plus the dessert. Enjoyed the view too. Will visit here again in the future.
What a disappointment! The server did not know what the lunch special was - had to go and ask! We had to send our chowder back as it was cold. Two entrees also arrived lukewarm - one ate the crab melt and one took home the fish/asparagus in order to reheat. The steak sandwich special was so tough it had to be taken home in order to eat it. The French fries were soggy. Too many choices when ordering. Simplify and then maybe the kitchen will get things right!
Service was great, a little loud due to a large party behind us. Food was very good, started with the calamari which was cooked perfectly. My wife had a salad, which was fresh. I had the clam chowder which was very tasty. My wife had the special scallops and mushroom risotto, while I went with the basic fish and chips, both dishes were very tasty and fresh. Thanks to Sailor Jacks's for a very pleasant experience.
Eggs Benedict was delicious although it could have used more crab. But service was good and ambience was excellent.
We had Sunday brunch and the crab benedict was delicious! The restaurant is in a nice location and has a view overlooking the Carquinez Strait. The service was a little slow because they only had one server, however the server was excellent. She was managing several tables and she was friendly and efficient. We live almost two hours away, but we will definitely return. Thanks for a nice experience and meal.
The meals we ordered were very good and served hot, however the service was spotty and our server and others were cleaning and sweeping tables next to us most of our meal. They were noisy in the process of clanging chairs and banging dustpans. Our server seemed to be overwhelmed and never engaged in any polite conversation, he was all business.
Excellent, fast, and attentive service. The lady who served us was outstanding. Fast and gracious
There wasn't a lot of care shown in the presentation or the quality of food. Service seemed stretched thin.
Perfect brunch outside on the water. Food and cocktails were delicious and came out hot. Service was very good considering the water view section is a good distance from the kitchen.
SJ‘s is one of our go-to restaurants in East Bay. Excellent fish and seafood - fresh, well-prepared and simply presented. This time we had crab cake appetizer (3 mid-size cakes with homemade Remoulade sauce). Entrees of fresh halibut lightly breaded (8 oz) over freshly prepared creamy risotto! Second entree was shrimp-scallop-Andouille sausage-mussels gumbo in wonderful tomato broth served with rice and crab garnish. Both yummy and served piping hot! Loved Steve‘s service in 2nd floor bar/dining room overlooking river/inlet. Nice wine list - reasonably priced. All in all - another great dining experience at SJ‘s!! Thank you!!

Plenty of parking surprisingly on a beautiful and warm Sunday. Once inside after a few minutes a guy walked by, no eye contact, no greeting just stated "someone will be with you" ( very unwelcome and dry voice) and walked out to their patio to other customers who were already sitting and enjoying their meals. 5 minutes later someone did come and took us to our reserved table. We ordered our appetizers, drinks and our main meal a few minutes later. There was another group of people waiting for their food. 15 mins passed we were waiting for our main food we ordered to arrive so we started taking picture of the beautiful scenery. The group were served by 2 young people, their food but nothing has arrived for us. The waitress who was serving us and the group stop by to ask the group how they are doing. She walked over to us and we let her know we are still waiting for our main dishes. She walked away stating she will go find out what happen. She grab salt and pepper for the group, brought it to them then headed to the kitchen, I assume. Few minutes later our food was brought out and it was good as well. Overall, customer serve was fair, scenery was awesome and the food was fairly good. Undecided if we will return. My husband is a manager and is 1000% all about customer service. When we go out to try new places customer service is our # 1 reason if we will return along with the presentation of the food which was good and of course how tasteful their food is which was fair nothing really to brag about.
Your fried oysters were delicious and the seafood gumbo was the best! Rambeaur white wine to die for! Love love your restaurant! Will be back soon!
First a shout out to our server, George. He was excellent and very hard working. Shout out to all the staff who brought our meals hot and had to walk that distance to the covered water area. The ambience was fantastic. The food was great. I can't recommend the fish and chips enough. My guests so enjoyed the Benicia experience.
Hostess was amazing. They had limited waiters that were also bartending so attention to our table was lacking.
This place is so cute, and the food was delicious. Casual atmosphere and a great location. I highly recommend the Corvina! The portion was very generous and reasonably priced!
