The meals we ordered were very good and served hot, however the service was spotty and our server and others were cleaning and sweeping tables next to us most of our meal. They were noisy in the process of clanging chairs and banging dustpans. Our server seemed to be overwhelmed and never engaged in any polite conversation, he was all business.
Perfect brunch outside on the water. Food and cocktails were delicious and came out hot. Service was very good considering the water view section is a good distance from the kitchen.
SJ‘s is one of our go-to restaurants in East Bay. Excellent fish and seafood - fresh, well-prepared and simply presented. This time we had crab cake appetizer (3 mid-size cakes with homemade Remoulade sauce). Entrees of fresh halibut lightly breaded (8 oz) over freshly prepared creamy risotto! Second entree was shrimp-scallop-Andouille sausage-mussels gumbo in wonderful tomato broth served with rice and crab garnish. Both yummy and served piping hot! Loved Steve‘s service...
