Superior vibes and space. Solid mission, great coffee, it’s all here!

Friendly service and plenty of seating. Love the mission of the place. There are two issues I had - first, the seats are incredibly uncomfortable, and your bottom will not properly fit in the seat if you are at all overweight (I'm about a size 12 and the seats were too small for me). It's a very specific type of metal chair - if you know, you know. Hate hate hate those chairs. My other issue is that there are zero savory options, which was a bummer, but not a major issue, I suppose.

I really wanted to like this place. I truly did. Cute name, cool mission. But the drinks? Absolutely tragic. We got an iced chai and an iced matcha, and I genuinely wish we hadn’t.
The iced chai tasted like watery cinnamon sadness. Way too much spice, no creaminess, just vibes — and not the good kind. And the iced matcha? I tried to convince myself it was “earthy,” but no. It was just bad.
I don’t know what happened in that cup but it wasn’t tea. Please live up to the previous reviews for next time 😔💔🥀.

Great coffee, made very well. Staff is very nice. There is a lot of seating, including outdoors, so handicap accessibility should not be a problem. Lots of students use this place, so it's pretty quiet.

Service was fast, awesome lavender honey oat latte, not too sweet which was to my liking. A good blend of coffee and lavender as well ☕️☕️☕️

12 minutes for a cup of black coffee. No line. Coffee came out cold.

Too much milk, coffee a bit too weak.
I think it's more of a place for flavored coffee drinks.

Overall a great cafe! My issue is random, but not insignificant. I went to the bathroom in the hallway right outside the cafe. I was in the bathroom for about 2 minutes and when I tried to leave, I realized someone had locked me inside. I was trapped inside for about 10 minutes until somewhere heard me pounding on the door and contacted the custodial staff in the building. This all happened around 2:30pm on Friday. I notified the 1951 staff and their response was that it wasn't their bathroom. While that may be true, I'm pretty sure many many ppl at the cafe use this bathroom considering there's only 1 single use bathroom in the cafe itself, this other much larger bathroom is in the same building and is ~30 feet away from the cafe door (in fact it's inbetween the cafe's indoor & outdoor seating), and there's no signage indicating that this non-cafe bathroom shouldn't be used or *isn't* associated with the cafe. So it's not the cafes fault, but I think they can play a more active role in preventing this from happening (which they don't seem to agree with). So because of that, I feel obligated to leave a poor review.

Not particularly thrilled with this coffee shop. The coffee was a little excessively sweet - not as first taste but after a few sips you realize it starts to hit you. Also didn’t taste the coffee as much as the milk.. and the pastries were not good at all. They were tasteless and rather dry. Also, the location was oddly quiet? Like I know it’s a coffee house but literally libraries are louder.. felt very awkward. Anyways, my experience was not wonderful - and I should add it’s not cheap either (to be expected by still).
Parking: Park in the church lot next door - $1/20 minutes or $10 all day.

Discourages human contact in favor of a giant touch screen. Confusion around orders placed. And then the coffee was kinda weak. I used to quite like this place, and it’s unfortunate how hard it is just to get a good cup of coffee near campus, at least one that isn’t pretentious.

Good coffee in a feel-good environment given that the store employs refugees. Check it out!

I got a flat white with oat milk. I like the atmosphere and it's great that it's a nonprofit for a good cause!
