Their food is wonderful! Fresh, tasty, colorful & beautiful. From freshly made chips to incredible green & red salsas, perfect margaritas, prawn ceviche, a chicken protein bowl, white beans cooked w garlic and red Mexican rice, everything was great!

And our Margaritas? Perfecto!

Service & dining atmosphere? The same.

I’ll be coming back here as soon as I can!

Nice open space for seating. Bar, high tables, low tables. Sports bar friendly! Servers were very friendly and efficient in bringing our food. I ordered the chilaquiles. They were not as saucy as I expected, but I poured the cup of spicy pot beans on them, and they were delicious! They just need a bit more sauce. The eggs were too well done, I wanted over easy...but, maybe they just cooked more during the plating process. My friends enjoyed their meals. Overall, I'd return to try again. Great atmosphere, plenty of space for a group, family-friendly, and friendly staff.

The restaurant was very loud, which made it hard to hear others at our table. Service felt limited—our waitress only came by three times: to take our order, refill our water once, and bring the bill.

The tip options were preset at 18%, 20%, and 22%, which felt uncomfortable given the level of service. The food was okay but nothing special, and it didn’t come with chips, which was unexpected. On a positive note, the beer was good.

Overall, it wasn’t the best experience and I wouldn’t be eager to return.

Very tastey! I ordered the Mexican avocado toast. Asked for salsa on the side and no pickled onions. They came to the table to clarify that the salsa had onions in it and asked if I wanted it since I said no onions. I said it in the salsa was fine. I just didnt want pickled onions. When my food came there was so salsa. Miscommunication purhaps however everything was excellent other wise!

We did a small cater for 20 people and it was absolutely delicious!! Website is easy to order from and ordered night before for 1230pm pick up. The meat, all the flavors best all other taco catering options I looked into. The homemade tortillas stole the show. We had a vegetarian in the group and was able to order a few delicious things for her to eat as well! Most importantly, the customer service was top notch. The woman who answered the phone and presumably likely the one that helped me when I arrived was so kind and genuine. The gentleman that greeted me when I first came in at the host desk was extremely helpful as well. Super ease of order and pick up and kind people. Highly recommended!

Pros: Good quality of ingredients. Great people and atmosphere.

Cons: lacks flavor in general. Feels like it’s been watered down. Not spicy, sort of bland.

Tbh it’s a good place for families but the real tacos are on E14th aka international yadidamsayin

My buddy comes down from Truckee every couple weeks for work, and last night we hit up 5 Tacos & Beers on College Ave (Elmwood) for Taco Tuesday.
Everything was excellent. Warm chips and homemade salsa to start. Then we dove into the tacos: grilled rock cod, shrimp, octopus, and the Costilla De Res (short rib) – all on fresh corn tortillas. The presentation matched the flavors - colorful and inviting.
It's family-owned and you can feel it. Great service, a welcoming vibe, really high quality food.
Planning my next rainy day visit for a bowl of their homemade Pozole.
Highly recommend.

Adela was a fantastic waiter, She coordinated multiple people ordering different things at different times as our party expanded after people got away from work.
The casual atmosphere is perfect for having drinks and tacos after work with friends. Good local beer selection.

Server made me sad. She seemed annoyed- rolled her eyes when we asked for salt. Maybe shes racist. She wasnt attentive at all. Pretended to be on break but we still left tip. Do better. Be kinder or dont be in customer service. We are paying customers.

Had a trio of tacos recommended by the bartender and they were all delicious. The unsung (unknown) star of the experience was the mezcal cocktail.

We had the 5 taco platter and the tortilla soup - delicious!

Potato flautas can be made fully vegan with vegan cheese and sour cream. The mushroom taco is also vegan delicious.

Started with chips and guacamole, which was flavorless. Then had the carne asada and carnitas tacos which were super greasy and killed the flavor of the garnishes.

The staff was attentive a the food came at a good pace. Just zero flavor and a greasy finish. Yuk ?
