My friend lives in Benicia and I live in San Bruno and it's always a challenge to find a good restaurant in Berkeley or Oakland. We've had great successes and superb failures. Akemi is in the first category. Lovely food, great service, and a real bargain for wonderful Japanese treats. We are already planning our next trip there.
Had a really excellent meal here with my family. I ordered the wagyu combo, medium rare and was really happy with it. The other members of my party had the chirashi don and the unagi don and everyone enjoyed their meals. Great atmosphere. My only small complaint is that ai thought the price for my beer (Asahi Super Dry) was a bit high. I would definitely eat here again!
so yummy!! Me and my boyfriend ate 3 sushi plates + nagiri. I was pretty full afterwards. They had so many options. I really loved...ALL OF THEM !!! The servers are so sweet🤗 This sushi might be the best in town. It is in a cute little location.
