Hadn't been in a few years - the food was good, service was excellent. Went for lunch and like the entire Bay Area, eating out is a bit pricey these days.

My order of Voo Doo Shrimp was super salty,I couldn't finish it. Others ordered gumbo, were watery, I would rated average the most. The best one was Hush Puppies. It took them a long time to just get us some water. I don't think I'm going to come back here anytime soon☹️

Absolutely Delicious
The only problem is that, the shrimp in the gumbo are very, very small

Went to Angeline’s Louisiana Kitchen on Saturday for a late lunch. They were roughly 1/2 full at the time. Atmosphere was nice. The family ordered the fried chicken, shrimp Po’Boy, crawfish étouffée, voo doo shrimp, mac & cheese, red rice and beans, and the beignet for desert. The kids all enjoyed their food. The red rice and beans along with the mac and cheese received high marks. My voo doo shrimp was a disappointment. The dish was warm to cool, and significantly over salted. As one of their signature dishes I was surprised. The spouses crawfish was similar, hot on one side, and cool on the other, taste not meeting her expectations. From a service point of view, the waiter was pleasant, and felt experienced. My bottled beer was served with a warm glass, so drank from the bottle. The fried chicken arrived late, after asking the waiter where it was. Not sure if the order was missed, or it was sitting in the kitchen. The beignet was a nice finish. The quality of food and service felt hit-or-miss. Good, but missing here and there. In reading other reviews, this might have just been an off day. For the price and reputation, was expecting better, and do not expect to return. Had dinner from Mezzo’s on Telegraph, so not all was lost for the day.

Voo Doo shrimp. Despite name not spicy at all. Very good roux little sweet. Green beans good fresh and not overcooked or over seasoned.
Catfish good, hush puppies over cooked, but potato salad very good- spicy with great flavor.
Service was good.

Fried food with little flavor. Accustomed to Cajun food being more flavorful but it was ok. Service was horrible though. It was so bad that I found it humorous. Perhaps an off day for our server. Wouldn't go back.
