So so good. German chocolate cake is my favorite and it’s so hard to find, well now I have my new favorite spot. I also got the banana pudding based on the popularity and it was divine. Portions for both were huge, ate them bit by bit over the week. Thank you so much Aunty D, you really lit up my week. Sending all my work ladies your way!

So, my low stars are from the desserts themselves. The service was good and they provided clear instructions for pick up. I ordered two cakes— German Chocolate & Lemon Pound Cake. I had high hopes because of how they looked—great presentation. It look liked they were going to be good soul food style desserts —you know the kind that you can taste the love that went into it when you eat them. But unfortunately the cakes were both very dry- not moist at all except for the very thin layer of cake underneath the icing—somewhat. And unfortunately the apple cobbler was not sweet and somewhat tart. I was not a fan of the wet texture of the crust. I’m glad I supported—but I ended up throwing it all away which was rare and hard for me because I have a sweet tooth, I paid at least $30, and fought through Berkeley street traffic to pick it up.

I got the lemon pound cake! It tasted so good. Definitely lifted up my soul. The person at the door seemed an expert at the menu and offered me options, but I knew before coming I wanted the poundcake. The atmosphere was lovely. Comfortable outdoor seating and warm lighting. Also, a bonus that they’re open late! Great late-night bite.

My banana pudding cake was very dry. I'm turned off this place. Wasted my money
As a self-certified banana pudding fiend, this is the place to go. Forgot to get a pic before we demolished the whole thing in five minutes. Two bananas up!

Absolutely loved my visit to Aunt Pooey’s Sweet Tooth!
I tried the Banana Moon Pie and the Peach Crumble, and both were fantastic. The Banana Moon Pie was the standout — creamy, light, and perfectly balanced. Not overly sweet, just the right touch of banana flavor with a smooth, fluffy texture. One of the best I’ve ever had.
The Peach Crumble was equally impressive. Juicy, caramelized peach slices layered beneath a buttery crumble topping that elevated every bite. It tasted like summer in dessert form.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone with a real sweet tooth — you can tell everything is made with care and flavor in mind.

Extremely disappointed ☹️ I ordered 2 Carmel cakes and a red velvet cake. I mean all of the cakes were a disappointment. The Carmel should have been layered on the cake it was just dumped on it was so heavy lack favor I mean I never had such a disappointing cake.
