This may have been the worst restaurant in Berkeley. Maybe in California. I would give this restaurant zero stars if possible. Hostess made a sexual joke to me as I was checking in with my girlfriend which should have been an immediate red flag for us to leave. We decided to give them a second chance which may have been the worst decision possible. We ordered the clam chowder for an appetizer which looked like someone threw some dish soap in the soup to make it more fluffy and tasted like it was made last week. The waiter also did not understand when we asked for a side of fries for our entree he decided to bring it out with our clam chowder. On top of that when I tried to be polite to ask him to bring it out with our entree he decided to leave it there for the rest of dinner. Nothing more appetizing than looking at a plate of cold fries all dinner. Then came the entrees….. the chicken was at least cooked but I think they decided seasoning was optional. The Cod could definitely have been purchased from your local Trader Joe’s frozen aisle. Safe to say we will not be coming back and I would encourage everyone to go anywhere else. Not to mention the price for each entree was 40 dollars bringing our total dinner price to a $180 dollars.

2/13/26 This place is for the hotel guest and I say that because the atmosphere is dead and dry just like the service and the food, I’m not sure who the chef is but he should be fried as well as the waiter the sunrise watermelon drink was good I had Hennessy with mines which ended up being $42 for two my husband had the fish and chips which was out the freezer the batter didn’t even stick to the fish nothing had flavor I ordered Mary’s chicken breast and got a quarter leg that was light skinned even after being cooked what was supposed to be risotto was rice and spaghetti sauce. The waiter left and no one came to our table able for about 15 mins . This is not a date night place at all and for our total to be $135 it was a waste of money we let and we to The StudyHall which was way better the food service and atmosphere was way better . DONT EAT HERE IT HORRIBLE…..

Our 2nd time here in a month. This could be a gold mine of they cared about locals. It's a beautiful bar/restaurant indoor outdoor space. But the staff isn't friendly, say NO too much, don't ask how you are doing (ok other than Roger). The bar is limited. They could pack happy hour if they thought about a small plate and drink program locals would love.

Excellent food and service. Lovely ambience. We were there on a quiet night and so noise level was quite low.

What a lovely hidden gem! We are Berkeley locals and brought our 5 and 8 yo boys for a special holiday meal. We had a delicious feast in the mostly lovely setting (it was upscale but not unwelcoming to families) and teriffic service. 10/10

Attentive, friendly service. Good brunch food, and prepared quickly. We had our food within 10 minutes of placing our order. It wasn't busy, so that good be why. Brought my husband a slice of chocolate cake for his birthday while singing g happy birthday.
My wife and I had a great date night at The Berkeley BoatHouse. We dined by the fireplace enjoying each other's company sharing so many intimate moments. The staff and our server were outstanding. We both had King Salmon with truffle fries, along with sesame seeds broccoli. Everything we had was delicious! The ambience was amazing along with the view of bay. We want to say thank you for allowing us to dine at your lovely restaurant.
We ate here on Thanksgiving. We sought out a restaurant with outside seating as we want to avoid aerosol transmitted diseases, especially during cold and flu season. This restaurant was a solid choice. The service was GREAT. They called to confirm our reservation and ask if we had any special considerations. We clarified that we required patio seating near a heater. There were 4 of us. In addition to their. regular menu they had 2 Thanksgiving options. Turkey or prime rib. Both dinners were fine. The wait staff was REALLY helpful. We were outside next to a heater and a fire pit. We got to enjoy the marina view. The indoors was full. Outside was less busy. Most people had pets. The best things are the marina location/view, the service. The food was good, but I wouldn't go out of my way for the food. I WOULD go out of my way for drinks on the patio. We had a nice walk around the marina after our meal. Overall we were quite happy.

Totally overpriced. Slow service. Ordered Wagyu beef steaks and I'm thoroughly convinced real Wagyu was NOT served. The portions of sides were minuscule and the vegetables burnt beyond edible. I've written management but they are not concerned about their customers input. Soooooo many other restaurants in the area to choose from, please do so.
Beautiful location, very nicely decorated interior, great tasting food and excellent service! My family and I went there on Thanksgiving Day, and we have the best time!
Very disappointed. The pictures of the food in the photos and reviews do not align with the experience. It's the Double tree hotel restaurant- nothing fancy or special. Starbucks coffee. Avo toast was bucket guacamole. We went for a special holiday meal and got low quality blah.
They completely hide the fact this is basically just a hotel restaurant. But the real problem is the lack of service. I counted seven total parties in a restaurant with at least 30-40 tables meaning it was almost empty and an entire outside deck with six servers, yet I was ignored for 20 minutes even after asking for my check. There was literally a 1:1 waiter to party ratio, so what were they all doing? The second time I had to go to the bar to close out. The food I had was large portions but mid quality at best, mass produced Doubletree Hilton food. Maybe go there for some drinks or if you’re staying at the hotel, but don’t make the mistake like I did and visit the place expecting some solid bay area seafood.

Nice views but the food was just ok. Service was not so great, a bit slow and they were not busy. We had to ask to get a coffee refill multiple times.
