Hard to find. A very vague on-line map told us only that it was somewhere in the Berkeley Marina. We drove over the whole marina and found it only by asking random people three times. We found it at last INSIDE the Doubletree Hotel -- which had never been mentioned on the internet.
I was surprised for a Father's Day brunch there were not many people at all. The location is amazing, I love Berkeley, but the service of this place was so poorly managed. I saw 2 managers walking around, and more bussers walking than actual servers. The food was alright, pretty basic brunch items, the mimosa flight was overly juiced barely any sparkling wine. I got coffee and had to wait for a busser to ask for cream and sugar, just not good. I had higher expectations for the amount of money I paid for this place. It has great potential but needs some major improvements.
It has potential but there needs to be a collective investment in the experience of the customer. From customer service to wayfinding. It's a great location and is close to being a great spot.
Un lindo lugar para desayunar, la comida muy buena, el servicio excelente y la viata aun mejor.
Roger the waiter is professional, kind and attentive to all of our needs. He's gold star service! A lovely evening at a beautiful restaurant.
Great restaurant in the hotel, excellent service, big portion, reasonable price, lots of drink options
A bit pricey. Good food. Service was only ok. Waitress barely spoke English and pretty much got everything wrong
To begin, the service was very good and we really enjoyed our spunky kind waiter. The staff assisting was not as “on the ball”. We were there celebrating our son's graduation. The views were beautiful and we did get a peak of the sunset. The food was very good. I had Chilean Sea Bass which was excellent. One son had salmon which he enjoyed and the other son had steak which was very well prepped and delicious. The mussels appetizer was a large bowl of them in a delicious broth but bread was never delivered which I found odd, not realized as we spent the evening in good conversation. All in all a wonderful experience and definitely recommended.
Love this place. This place is a Berkeley institution been around since 1972 or 73.
The Berkeley Boathouse is one of the Bay Areas hidden gems. Beautiful atmosphere. Wonderful staff. Customer service was a 10 out of 10. Short wait time for seating. Everything we ordered, including the drinks, came out in a timely manner and tasted great.

Expect $31-50 per person rate. Very nice view of the Berkeley bay. Service was superb even on mother's Day. Food tasted really good, from steaks to fish and chips. My only complaint the outside glass was dirty and couldn't appreciate the view as well. Nice place for that special occasion!
The service is good, but the food is not great. The food like flavor a bit overpriced and I would just go somewhere else if you're looking for a nice dinner.
I was expecting more from this restaurant. The food was just ok. I ordered eggs Benedict and it came out just barely warm. I didn't notice when I booked the reservation that the restaurant was attached to a hotel.
It was Mother's Day I did get a lovely rose I they allowed my doggie inside as it was very cold and windy outside The food was kinda cold. And average hotel did
We had a nice brunch experience on Mother's Day. The food took a while to come out but it was delicious and the service was friendly and considerate.
