The service and ambience were simply excellent! Some of our food items lacked creativity but were good: Such as a simple, not very flavorful Tuna Tartare (which need not be served w/ rice). Something tells me that the kitchen's direction is to "Give them what they want," and while the menu looks great (lots of crowd-pleasing items), I suspect their is untapped talent in the kitchen amongst the chefs/cooks (& perhaps service staff)... Noticed a diverse front=of-house staff. I wonder if those who work there could (if inclined!) contribute more interesting menu items or, perhaps put a particular ethnicity's spin on something like the tuna tartare... mix it up a bit? Overall it was an excellent experience. Thank you!
The place is rather pretty. The food is not very hearty. The charcuterie and cheese platter is really not amazing. I don’t recommend it for its slightly high price. Brussels sprouts are too seasoned and too soft. It’s a shame because the setting is beautiful.

On a recent trip to visit relatives we took time to visit the Berkeley Boathouse. Situated at the Berkeley Marina this establishment provides excellent views of San Francisco Bay and the San Francisco skyline in the distance. The staff were welcoming and attentive and we were quickly seated at our table. We began the evening with glasses of Sauvignon Blanc. We next added a calamari appetizer and entrees that included the Boathouse Cioppino (clams, mussels, scallops, seabass, shrimp and crab in a tomato fennel broth, with grilled sourdough) and the Roasted Beet Salad. All were well prepared and tasty! Okay, I didn't do it justice that Cioppino was great actually, well seasoned and the Crab and other ingredients complimented each other. We will be back!
Great place. Enjoyed the location and food.

We came for brunch on a Saturday. The biggest headline is how well the staff took care of us. Jian, Jovani, and the others were so friendly, great with our kids, and put smiles on everyone’s face. The brunch menu was all great, a bunch of empty plates, and the prices were pretty reasonable also. Add that to a beautiful view of the Bay, fire pits, the sun, and a light breeze, and the whole experience was great. Will definitely come back.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times over the past 5 years but this time the service in this restaurant hit a new low. I was there for 1 hour and 15 minutes and the bartender came by twice. A shit load of union staff not doing a god damn thing.

This restaurant is a true gem; Located in the DoubleTree Hotel at the Marina. A very quiet and safe area and has valet parking available. The entire experience was very good but the food was extraordinary.

Ordered to-go with the host on the evening of 6/17. He was so accommodating, friendly, and helpful. Very quick service and he managed multiple guests very efficiently. Great food, great experience!

Hard to find. A very vague on-line map told us only that it was somewhere in the Berkeley Marina. We drove over the whole marina and found it only by asking random people three times. We found it at last INSIDE the Doubletree Hotel -- which had never been mentioned on the internet.
I was surprised for a Father's Day brunch there were not many people at all. The location is amazing, I love Berkeley, but the service of this place was so poorly managed. I saw 2 managers walking around, and more bussers walking than actual servers. The food was alright, pretty basic brunch items, the mimosa flight was overly juiced barely any sparkling wine. I got coffee and had to wait for a busser to ask for cream and sugar, just not good. I had higher expectations for the amount of money I paid for this place. It has great potential but needs some major improvements.
It's my favorite place to relax and have good food.
