Gotten their bagels multiple times but honestly don’t get the hype.
Bagels aren’t really fluffy the way New York bagels are and price can add up depending on toppings and I don’t find it that worth it. They do a good job with the amount of cream cheese they put in though. Lines can be long on weekends!

I honestly can’t figure out how the bagels here are rated so highly? Slow news day? They are very mediocre like most sf bagels. Beauty’s was the real thing until wise sons took over. So we are back to mediocre bagels for everyone.

Favorite bagel shop! Go-to order: salt & pepper bagel (not toasted), hatch chili cream cheese, maybe a tomato. If you love a tangy plain cream cheese, go for the pink label.

unfortunately i’m just visiting, but if I lived in Berkeley I would come here often. They are a little bit on the softer side compared to others that I’ve had, and personally I like my bagels ~just a little bit~ chewier, but they still hit the spot for me. If these were boiled for just a few seconds longer before they’re baked they’d be up there with my favorite bagels of all time. Also the spreads are delish.

Boichik has always been a great breakfast place, and I have always loved their bagels. Unfortunately today, I ordered a bagel with nutella and was very surprised at the amount of nutella that they gave me. Disappointed.

Love the whitefish sandwich. Salty and oh so delicious. More a take out place since there’s no place to sit and eat. I eat from my car on the way to work. Still 5 stars.
Upsetting experience. They lost my receipt and never put my order together. I asked them several times and they dismissed me. Eventually found my receipt on the floor … annoying
Editing to add that I did receive my bagels but only after being gaslit by the employee.
