ultimate scram lives up to its name, but I got a mouthful of mould eating the toast that came with it. Not hard to find fresh bread in the East Bay!

Love this place for good comfort food. The staff and owners are all extremely nice. Just a real pleasure to eat here. Food is maybe not great but really really good. Drop in for an excellent experience.

Great local place with excellent breakfasts. They serve it up good & quick. They also have other lunch items which are also very good. You won't be sorry.

The quintessential neighborhood diner is a pretty solid guarantee for a decently good "all-American" meal. I love that it's near my house for those occasions I don't want to make breakfast or need something hearty for lunch. Food is solid, service clean s generally fast and pleasant too.

Breakfast is mediocre, it's not the best. But there waffle and chicken is terrible. They give you a small wing that's not even a whole wing. I had better waffles and chicken from Ole's Waffles in Alameda, and Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles in LA. Broom needs to step up there chicken and waffles game. Don't be fooled by there chicken and waffles sign.

Takes me back 40 years ago to when it was Choices restaurant. My grandmother used to go in everyday and buy bananas from James Choice. I went the other day and had a great breakfast. Really nice old school breakfast with lots of butter in the grits. Keep places like this alive please.

The food is always good. The front door seriously need a screen door because your constantly sweating fly's and flying bugs away from your food if you need to us the bathroom first cover food and beverage. I called to complain about the above but the person said they were too busy to listen.?

This café is just fantastic. What sets it apart is the family-like atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, you are taken care of. The food is great, with big portions and plenty of options on the menu. I highly recommend their grits, they're the real deal here! I also loved the chocolate chip pancakes, and my mocha latte was perfect. I don't think you can go wrong here! I wish I lived closer, because I would come here every day if I could.

Classic dinner style menu. Breakfast all day and standard lunch fare. Prices are decent for the area and plenty of food. Came for a late weekend lunch. Wasn't crowded. Service was quick. And all the staff were friendly and attentive. Seated immediately and order taken essentially right away. Food came out in minutes. Didn't seem like made to order. It tasted alright though. Nothing to write home about but solid if you're looking for home style cooking. Would come again but wouldn't go out of my way.

The breakfast potatoes were nice and crispy, the Denver omelet was stuffed full, and I watched the staff be truly kind to absolutely everyone who came in. What a gem.

I ordered corned beef hash and pancakes. They were both delicious. Service was prompt and the vibe was homely.
