Visit with a Berkeley student, we had a great breakfast. Sat upstairs on the deck, sunny!

I tried to go there for breakfast, but they were closed. The dark stairway was really creepy.

Always a good breakfast/lunch stop. Gotten a little pricey from my poor student days, but can't help but return here esp for a breakfast/brunch as the food is always delicious. Fresh squeezed orange juice always pleases too.

Chicken in the chicken burrito was the worst I've ever had.

Place is dirty. Tabasco bottles on table look 3 years old. Food was not good.

Food was amazing. Four of us had different meals and all were so good for breakfast. I'm from out of the area so seemed a little pricey but probably normal for this area. Really good, fresh food and great service. Super fast.

I ordered 3 sunny side up eggs breakfast with sausages. They brought 2 medium cooked eggs with turkey. And an absolutely uncleanness place. Salt and peppers on tables into old coke bottles. Cheap plastic chairs on the terrace. Two stars only for a terrace view.

Very good place to eat. The place was almost empty when I was there. Great selection of food and great horchata. Deck overlooks the street.

Our first proper meal in San Fran after exploring the city for a few hours. The location is up some stairs in a slightly interesting part of town. Don't let that distract you from the food. It's exceptionally good. The Diablo burrito is a must and my partner raved about the omelette breakfast. The outdoor balcony looked like a great spot but we couldn't hack the cold.Definitely recommended.

felt right at home, run by a mom and daughter, I was treated like if I was her own and don't get me started on the food, it all looks good and is made well. felt at home and comfortable. will return on my next visit.Vegetarian options: plenty of dishes that contained no meat but they did contain animal products like milk or eggs but plenty of options otherwiseKid-friendliness: there is plenty of space to have a family dine, went with a group of 8 and were accommodated easily. plenty of decorations and space for children to calm down and keep busy. motherly affection form owner will make it easy as well!!

Great staff, super friendly owner. Good prices and discounts during happy hour. Food never disappoints. 100% would recommend, it’s unfortunate it’s not directly visible on the main road, you have to walk up through some stairs.

Similar to the vibes of Kimchi Garden and the Durant Food Court, Cafe Durant is pretty mid. However, I think this spot is essential for the post-hangover Saturdays and quick brunch cravings for lazy mornings in Berkeley. I've come here a handful of times now, and I think this spot hits as quick on-the-go, yet relaxing and chill environment. They have everything from indoor and outdoor seating to an infinite amount of brunch options to hit any savory or sweet craving. Here's a rundown of what I've ordered: - Eggs Benedict (3/5): Not a huge huge fan and probably won't order again, but that's just because I wasn't a huge fan of the hollandaise sauce. Homefries were pretty standard and felt a little soggy but still good. - Denver Omelette (3.8/5): I usually get the Denver omelette or a sundeck combo. Always pretty filling and hits the spot right. Never too overcooked or undercooked, and stuffed inside with a good proportion of peppers and ham. Usually I get the sundeck combos since they're the best bang for your buck in my opinion, but can't go wrong with any options. Protip: Watch out for the birds if you eat outside. I had to dodge one from diving at my home fries, but well worth.
