The atmosphere is great, but prices are high. One significant note, I ordered the panko crusted fried chicken sandwich once before and it was pretty tasty. However, I ordered it again yesterday, and it was the only thing I had eaten that day, ended up with pretty bad food poisoning, vomiting all night, still really weak today. The chicken definitely seemed fully cooked, I'm not sure what happened, but I haven't been that ill in a long time. Again, it was the only thing I had eaten that day so I can't imagine it being anything else. Will absolutely not be ordering it again.

I often stopped by Kapende while listening to Berkeley programs, but I can't quite get used to the taste of coffee. Since there was always only one employee, I didn't like taking a long time to take an order, make it, and give it back again and again. I gave it a low rating because I thought it was expensive for a school cafe.

Not sure if the sustainability claim is just a cover to charge 12$ for a sandwich and 5-6$ for teas and lemonades. Feels like an airport when I drop 25$ on a sandwich and a large coffee or tea. Tastes pretty good though
the food is very overpriced and does not taste that great. the fries are the only thing that is worth getting here

The chicken sandwich is really good and can tell the ingredients are of high quality. Just the price is really high, 10.55 dollars for a sandwich. Ordered drinks from here a few times, coffee is ok and matcha is too sweet

I bought a $10 salad and asked for a cup of water and he told me no, when I was confused and said I'd pay for the cup the guy helping me said they "ran out" I've literally never had that happen anywhere and I'm so frustrated, I didn't even want the salad I was just thirsty and felt guilty not buying anything. They had an expensive glass water bottle but 1. That was heavy and 2. Didn't feel very cold. Súper weird and unpleasant experience. To be fair the chicken in the Cesar salad was decent so two stars

Cafe Think is located on the second floor of the Chan building on the Haas portion of UC Berkeley. It's usually super busy with undergrads and graduate students studying and having meetings. It's a great place to study and usually very clean, there's also a nice outdoor patio in the back and a lot of seats in the front. Cafe Think really isn't the best place for coffee or food but it's location is prime for students. The coffee itself is not good and everything is pretty overpriced (a small iced coffee with soy milk was a little more than $5). I've also found that the workers can be pretty rude to students.
