OMG I'M STUFFED! All of these dishes were so yummy. My fav was the potato croquettes with the curry sauce. Prices were VERY REASONABLE for four pieces per dish; just right to share. DEFINITELY I will go back. They cook to order and give you a buzzer when your dish is ready to pick up and bring to your table. We sat outside in the covered patio which was clean and tables spaced nicely. There are tables outside with no cover as well as booths inside.

Daruma had a pop up shop by my house in Albany and wow it was great! They offered a variety of onigiri that made me feel like I was back in Japan. I will say that my friend and I went to the pop up an hour after it opened and a lot of the onigiri were sold out. Luckily I was able to snag 4 of them beforehand. I tried an egg yolk one and a beef one. Both were delicious and they were wrapped like how you would find them in Japan which was cool! The Takoyaki was also delicious the only downfall was the wait time for it. Definitely not as fast as you would find them if you were in Japan. For our Takoyaki we had to wait about 15-20 minutes for them. Overall though the quality of the food was delicious and I would definitely come back whenever they do another pop up.

Takoyaki is bomb! Chill spot on a sunny Sat.Parking is easy, enjoy some broc cellar wine while you're here.

Standout items were Takoyaki and the matcha soba salad. Takoyaki had nice big chewy piece of taco Bonito flakes and kewpie mayo were delicious toppings. Matcha soba salad was refreshing on a sunny day. Also had the beef curry onigiri and salted egg onigiri to-go. Catch them during a pop-up if you can!

So good! We had them at the First Fridays in the Berkeley wine district. The food was delicious and they were so nice! We got the takoyaki and the beef nikumaki. Both cooked so well. The Takoyaki had big chunks of octopus. I've never had a nikumaki before but jt was my favorite!!!

They are the best Japanese Pop-up restaurant in the Bay Area. Specifically Takoyaki(Octopus ball) which is one of the famous street food in Japan Osaka area but also Onigiri, Fresh Veggies.. many Japanese inspired menus and options they have. Looking forward to seeing something what new menu will be coming to my next visit.
