Been there last month in a rainy day. Waiting outside for 30 min and saw how messy their management. The manager let people behind us order first without asking us, I asked why and he mentioned he already say people who want to side in the hall could order first. We are there in the line so long and don’t ever see anyone stand out and give direction. They should check with each group in the line if they want to sit in the hall or Togo, but obviously not. The cashier guy is rude too, very inpatient placing order and when placing my order, this guy run away for other reason for couple minutes without even ask me to wait a second. The food is Ok but probably will not come back, there are plenty of better place nearby, not worth a wait here.

Great place to eat. Expect a long wait, but know it's worth it. You can eat inside or outside. Service was awesome.

This is cute place, however, it was poorly designed and inefficiently run. As a result, long wait on the weekend. And the food, to me, was not much better than other brunch place, nor worth the wait. The menu was Mexican-inspired but also had traditional brunch options. The menu online was only a subset of the options they offered dine-in, so it didn't help to look at the menu ahead of time. I got the fried chicken benedicts (which wasn't on the menu online). It was good, and the hollandaise sauce was good. It met my expectations. However, I wouldn't say that it was much better than other brunch places around the Bay Area. Now the inefficient part. The restaurant required customers to order first, before finding their seats. However, due to the limited seating area and a long wait, many customers wanted to find their seats before ordering. While the staff tried to stop some people from claiming people before they ordered, it wasn't always the case. The seating aspect was a total mess. Also, they were super slow with the food. Not only did we wait an hour to order, we waited an additional 30 min for our food. And honestly, if I had known ahead of time, I would not have waited. we spent almost 3 hours for a seat-yourself brunch experience, and no bottomless mimosa was involved. I would say come here during the week if you want, but don't wait for it.

This is a top tier Berkeley brunch spot! The food was great and I was amazed at how efficient the staff was, especially since this place is busy busy busy! All the food I tried was amazing. The churro waffles were so good: crispy and generously coated in sugar and cinnamon with fresh fruit and ice cream! The short rib hash was soooo good. The meat was so flavorful and tender. We were here for a birthday and they even gave us a birthday treat for the celebrant (MORE churro waffles! 2 pcs) What impressed me most was how efficient the staff ran this place! The line was super long - but don't be intimidated. The line is to place your order at a counter, then you take your order number and find a seat. The staff was helpful in getting us sat. The food comes out super fast after that. Would highly recommend this place!

My partner and I have frequented this place twice now, the first time was fine and the second time was mildly disappointing. I am not sure if this has improved but the system that they have - which is order at the front and then find a seat - is a little bit stressful during busy days and the most recent time we dined here we had to wait about an entire hour to receive our food. The food is a little pricey for breakfast food and I would rather they just have someone directing seating as it gets super chaotic in peak hours. We ordered the chorizo benedict which was delicious but small, the chicken and waffles which was a little bit dry, and the breakfast burrito which was pretty good. Overall the food was fine but the experience of getting weekend brunch should be stress-free and fun. I think this place blew up with tiktok but doesn't live up to its hype. We aren't sure if the food is worth coming back for, which is sad because there aren't very many great brunch spots in Berkeley.

Food: wow! Big time amazing!!! My wife and i enjoyed our brekkie outing there. Yummy corn bowl!!! Service: fast. I like their staff, they were very friendly and check in with us how our food is and anything we wanted. Ambiance: omg i love their Zen backyard. While we were waiting in a long line, we enjoyed viewing nice backyard and peaceful small waterfall. Highky recommend: you should check this place for brekkie!! Very good!! No regrets at all :)

I wanted to give this place a 4.5 star rating. To start, we got there a little after 10am on a Sunday. It's a beautiful setting down a covered path from the street side. Our group of 5 were impressed! There are lots of small tables placed on a terraced exterior and a few larger tables too. We peeked in to the interior and realized that we needed to order and find a seat, then the food would be delivered. There were no larger tables available at that time. There were several other smaller parties who showed up and they found tables for two available. We stood to the side with our eyes on two tables that would work for us. Another larger group showed up also looking for a bigger table. We noticed a couple getting their "take away" box and we started to feel like stalkers ready to jump on their table! We noticed the woman from the other group also hanging near that table. The stress was mounting! Luckily it all worked out, we got a table and they got a larger table inside. Part of the group sat while the other of us went to order. The line was getting longer and we felt like we were right on time. The guys working there told our seated people that we should have ordered first then found a seat. While I can see that working for most other smaller parties, we didn't see how that would have worked for a larger party because there aren't very many tables that can seat more than four people. Anyway, we felt bad but - it worked out for us. We wish the workers would have given us some direction as we were waiting there watching for a table. It started to get pretty hectic as more people came ... stressful. There are no signs or anything advising how the ordering system worked, for people who are going there for the first time. The service once we were seated was good. Next, the food ... phenomenal!!! Our group ordered two steak and eggs, a huevos rancheros, a chilaquiles rojos, and a braised short rib hash. We all loved our food - generous servings, beautiful presentation, and very tasty. We also ordered the fresh squeezed OJ which was fabulous. The food was worth the wait! The line was at least 15 parties deep as we were heading out of there! We'll be back but we'll go earlier next time, especially because there are usually five of us so the table choices are limited.

Very professional staff. There was a long line when we arrived, and the outdoor seating was closed because of rain. However, we were handed menus to look at in line and knew exactly what we wanted by the time we got to the front. I recommend going on a sunny day or in good weather due to limited indoor seating. Both the chicken and the churo waffle were tasty!

We have been back multiple times since my first review, and the food and service are always fantastic! It's always a treat to start my day at Eggy's! We've tried most of the items on the menu and they've all tasted great. And the staff couldn't be friendlier or more accommodating! Also, the food comes out very quickly, even when they are busy. Five stars for sure!

Went for brunch at 10:30 on a Saturday and the line was really long but was only about 10 min. You have to take your number and find a table after you order, which was near impossible. We had to sit by the alleyway which smelled really bad and they were rolling trash cans past us and asking us to stand up so they could get past for of the entirety of the time. Food was expensive and portions were small. Won't be back.

First time here and can honestly say this is the best breakfast spot in Berkeley. Javier the owner was incredibly warm and helpful. If you haven't been here yet...you're slippin!

Never knew about this brunch spot. Got invited so I said heck yeah. We came on a Wednesday afternoon. It wasn't crowded, but still had a little line. This place is different to where you order and pay first then grab your seats/table. Beautiful decor inside and out, but we decided to eat inside. The food was really good. And the menu options was plentiful. I was told this place is super crowded on the weekends and I can see why. We got a bottle for mimosas with two juice options. We picked guava and mango. I'm coming back for sure!
