Well, went to both FAs today with my heart set on corned beef hash and eggs. The Berkeley shop is now bakery only. Went to the El Cerrito one and the menu had drastically changed. No corned beef eggs and hash. So if you're looking for traditional meat your breakfast.... You've been warned

Nostalgia, for me. Forty years ago, when I moved here, I lived around the corner. Loved the food and coffee (Peet's) and the buzzy atmosphere. So Berkeley. When I'm back in the neighborhood, I try to stop by for a good meal. Even after 30 years my son gets over the moon excited when I bring him a cheese puff. Also dropped off their out of this world pie to a family member battling cancer recovery. Everyone gets excited about their baked goods; however their meals are dang good too. Friendly staff as well. For some joy, go there!

I have to give an honest review. I paid $17+change for a refrigerated burrito NOT FRESH. It was warmed up to the point that I couldn't eat it without burning my tongue. It was scolding hot. Then I was charged 50 cents for salsa. SALSA. I have never, ever been charged for salsa. The staff were awesome and sweet. I think people go there for pies. I will never go back. I officially don't recommend this place for breakfast burritos. The pies might be OK. Oh! The pizza looks days old

Love this place!!! They are so very nice! Quiche is yummy! Ham and cheese croissant - it's a sandwich not a traditional.

Good place. Just need almond milk for coffee drinks.

Long time customer. Ordered bacon and cheese quiche to eat in and a chicken turnover to take home. Both were excellent. Also my standard a blueberry Danish and their dark roast coffee. Just wish they would return some of the savory baked goods from the past like mustard laced cheese sticks and cheese scones.

Such delicious food. I wish I could have breakfast here every day. I almost don't want to tell everyone how delicious their chicken pot pies are. Okay, I will. They are the best i've ever had so i had one for breakfast. Spinach , Feta pocket pie is amazing too. Staff is very friendly and pleasant.
