You might go into shock if you come here and realize there is another side to the young people today that is beautiful, pure, gracious and kind--I've dropped by here during the street meal service (which has very very good buffet for the weakest among us) and got that jolt, as the volunteers are mostly super young, seem so much bigger than previous generations (or am I shrinking?), but I don't attend Church Events anywhere or at all; I assume that same innocent beauty shines through everyone here. Caution: atheists beware, if you come here you might walk out without your atheism intact, as it could shrivel up and become dry dust that will blow away, and then you won't want to wear that hair-shirt every again. I suggest also to wear a good pair of polarized sunglasses because the light in people's eyes here can cause you to squint a lot.
We love our Church Home
Been a while 40~50 years, great people, really nice staff. 1st and ... Saturday. Blessed meal.
Wow. I watched Human_Wildlife_Project on this church. The member who came out to speak with the camera man. Actually offered to let him come inside to film.
I think I’ve watched 50 videos now, and not one church has ever opened its door to a weirdo with a camera. I have never been to this church but if I was in the area, I’d love to swing by. 🙏.
Beautiful people and sanctuary
Good people.
Great church.
Dedicated staff.
Powerful preaching.
I have been going to this church for the past few years and have found it to be a truly welcoming and authentic. The preaching is excellent and the classes are thought provoking. You really get the sense that this is a community of people earnestly trying to serve God in the world. I highly recommend it.
The church does not respond to DMs on facebook and does not respond to the e-mail address they have posted here. This is rather unprofessional and unfortunate.
Just watched a YouTube 1A Audit of this POS Church , accosting someone on the sidewalk minding their own business. Not very Christian like
I enjoy the relevant and insightful sermons. Rev. Dr. Han Powell is gifted in so many ways. We enjoyed her preaching at 5th Avenue Presbyterian in NYC. We are following her on YouTube after she moved to Berkeley.

I've never been there for services but they seam like nice folks and do a lot for the homeless with meals and donations from 2-5pm on the second and last Saturday of each month as well as hosting the Suitcase Clinic; a student run program which offers meals, donations, and all manner of services to the under privileged every Tuesday night.
The Suitcase Clinic is also here to provide poor and low income people with access to quality healthcare and I really gotta tip my hat to them. I went with two really bad painful teeth that needed to be pulled and they got me into dentist at 8 pm on a Tuesday night and the problem was solved with a Big Shout out to the people at Berkeley Free Clinic who helped make it all happen. Thank all of you very much!
