I have been going to this church for the past few years and have found it to be a truly welcoming and authentic. The preaching is excellent and the classes are thought provoking. You really get the sense that this is a community of people earnestly trying to serve God in the world. I highly recommend it.

The church does not respond to DMs on facebook and does not respond to the e-mail address they have posted here. This is rather unprofessional and unfortunate.

Just watched a YouTube 1A Audit of this POS Church , accosting someone on the sidewalk minding their own business. Not very Christian like

I enjoy the relevant and insightful sermons. Rev. Dr. Han Powell is gifted in so many ways. We enjoyed her preaching at 5th Avenue Presbyterian in NYC. We are following her on YouTube after she moved to Berkeley.

I've never been there for services but they seam like nice folks and do a lot for the homeless with meals and donations from 2-5pm on the second and last Saturday of each month as well as hosting the Suitcase Clinic; a student run program which offers meals, donations, and all manner of services to the under privileged every Tuesday night.

The Suitcase Clinic is also here to provide poor and low income people with access to quality healthcare and I really gotta tip my hat to them. I went with two really bad painful teeth that needed to be pulled and they got me into dentist at 8 pm on a Tuesday night and the problem was solved with a Big Shout out to the people at Berkeley Free Clinic who helped make it all happen. Thank all of you very much!

Great biblical teaching, wonderful spirit filled music, warm fellowship, and a delicious chef prepared lunch every Sunday. 1st Pres is a welcoming church actively focused on spiritual formation of everyone whatever stage of faith you are in. It is my church home.

I’ve been CONNECTED this church since 1998. From last year, I attend Sunday worship (contemporary). It is so amazing! Music is great and people are so friendly. On every Sunday l am fed spiritually by great sermon!
