When I go there sometimes my order is correct and other times its not. My last burrito they but so much hot salsa it was almost inedible. Any add-on or changes is definitely frown upon. Food is good

This feels very retro and has its own charm of a restaurant. Gallegos is off the busy San Pablo ave, and they even have their own parking lot which is nice.
The prices on the menu are really fair for the area, so you can’t resist great Mexican food at a decent price.
I usually go with burritos, but this time I wanted to try their tacos. I got 2 al pastor, carne asada and fish taco.
I admit that I thought the fish was Baja fish style, but it was still good. The rest of the tacos were good as well.
Free chips and salsa comes as well for dining in. The salsa can be on the spicier side.

The food was so good I forgot to take a picture! I’m so happy we discovered this place. Apparently it’s owned by an elderly woman so it feels extra good to know we are supporting a family business. The service was great and the restaurant itself is lovely, inviting, and very colorful. Highly recommend!
Order steak super burrito, mostly refried beans, pretty much a regular burrito with sourcream and guacamole, not super.My first and last $6.00 mexican coke.The burrito was still good, just close to $21.00 for both. They did throw a few chips and salsa for free...

Just had lunch here for the first time today—combo plate with chicken taco & enchilada roja, rice, beans and jamaica aqua fresca. Man oh man it was tasty! The enchilada sauce was delectable, and each item on the plate was delicious and well presented. These people prepare their food with love and pride.
