The Henry's Burger was pretty good, cooked as requested. Food arrived within 15 minutes. Pleasant service. Reasonable price for a hotel restaurant. This is my third visit to The Graduate Hotel, and probably the 5th time I've eaten here. The food has been remarkably consistent.
Firstly, please do not trust my post 100%. All five stars are due to my beautiful memories of the place. I stayed at the Hotel more than a couple of times, I stopped at the bar on each occasion.
In this sense, an unforgettable place is still a good place and this is reasonable to give all five stars. I hope you might trust my post with five stars
Too dark.
Atrocious service. Slow. Not helpful. Everyone confused.
Fish and Chips is one fillet. Ours was undercooked. Wet batter.
Don’t usually write reviews but this time is needed. Very small rooms, dirty/stained comforter, filthy bar area, not enough staff. Over priced for what you get.
Warm beer and they said we can just submit a complaint. What happened to cold beer?

Waiter poured water all over the table when overfilling glass, did not clean up the spill, and proceeded to ignore us for 10min. When we tried to order, he walked over but began taking the order of the table next to us. When we tried to get his attention again, he instead began bussing the table directly next to us and stood with his back towards us. I would understand if it was a busy evening, but the restaurant was not at capacity and the waiter was incredibly inattentive and rude.

First off, I have a vague understanding of the problems driving customer service in America. Too many people, not enough servers, "nobody wants towork", all of which contribute to crowded restaurants and slow service. That being said, I do not understand why businesses don't adapt to these constraints. It appeared there were two waiters and two bartenders working on a Saturday night. We had dinner at 5:30, then came back for drinks at 9:30.Dinner was fine, we were up against time constraints (comedy show) so I was a little anxious about getting food and drinks in a timely matter. The food was great, the beer selection and drink selection were also above par. The environment has a great retro sexy feel, which is a nice way to spend a Saturday night. I found the service to be a little slow, again, I understand it was busy, but it seems madness to have two servers taking care of a packed restaurant. Yay capitalism. When we came back for drinks, I waited 20 minutes at the bar before we ended up leaving. Not even a "I'll be right with you, a general glance in my direction... 2 1/2 bartenders were working behind the bar, one of them was visibly overwhelmed, and drinks were trickling out of the bar. Again, I get it. It's Saturday night. So why not making an adjustment. Limit how many people can come in the bar... I know, I know...capitalism.Then fine, limit drinks to beer or wine until the crowd gets under control. There are plenty of other options besides losing your bearing as a bartender and not getting drinks out from behind the bar. I have already spent my money and my time in the restaurant, I would like my experience to match what is being advertised on Google and your website.

We didn’t have reservations for the night of Sarah McLaughlin’s concert, however we were sat immediately and Maria our server was wonderful! It made our experience to Berkley that much better! Great food!

I’m giving this four stars mostly because I was a Cal student and have a lot of nostalgic memories of this place. However, the food is good and the service is friendly. All very standard pub food served by a very Berkeley mix of mid-lifers and students. It's a nice place to meet friends.

Feels like a once-fancy establishment that has stopped caring. The upside is the space and service feel unpretentious. And my partner’s cocktail was decent. But the huge downside is that the food is not good at all and very-much overpriced. Fish and chips was basically a cheap flavorless fish stick and some frozen waffle fries with fake terrible seasoning. Tartar sauce tasted bad. They didn’t even have the care to serve it with a lemon. Other dishes were also edible but comparable to frozen food. And the pricing would lead you to believe they’re actually going to serve you decent food here. It’s a shame restaurants can get away with this kind of robbery.

The menu is very limited. They only have like 10 dishes available. They do not taste very good and are very highly priced for mediocre portions. The “chicken pot pie” is not a chicken pot pie at all. It is just chicken soup and a piece of bread. Scam. The oysters are worth trying.
Parking: Parking is extremely limited and usually not free.

A pleasantly quiet restaurant with great atmosphere. Perfect for a first date where you want to be able to hear them talk. I did not have any trouble with the waitstaff like other reviewers have complained about.
