Heroic Italian Berkeley

We had a lovely lunch here. We sat outside on a very nice spring day. The sandwiches we ordered were great. The server was attentive. We would definitely come back for lunch again.

We went there for lunch. As it's wet outside, we picked a table inside. The sandwiches we ordered were excellent. Courteous and speedy service. It was a pleasant experience.

A nice quiet place slightly off the bustle of downtown Berkeley. Good value and a nice place to actually communicate instead of getting drowned out by too much noise.

I like quiet music because people wants to relax it and I enjoy eating the Italian food and I come back next day!

Quaint neighborhood wine and small/large plates. Food was excellent, service was great. Indoor and outdoor seating. Close to BART and parking garage next door.

The ambiance was so lovely for our party of 30! The artichoke appetizer and shrimp pizza was great as well, but both pastas (pesto, red) were disappointing. I had a wonderful time though~

A great pre-theater option for light bites, sandwiches, and salads. Outside seating is nice mid- afternoon and service was wonderful.

And....I'll tell you why the Heroic Italian is a 5 star joint.
I was just around the corner, right there on Harold Street moving my pal Tightas Bricksqueezer's daughter, Cheesah into her new place in the Clambanger Arms complex, and she says she'll spring for lunch!
WOW! Was my reply...can we go to Saul's Tightas asked, Absolutely NOT! Cheesah said...We'll go to the Heroic Italian around the corner...it's the best Delicatessen in the county...the Best!
Well, I don't know it's the best in the county...but Berkeley for sure!
I got a simple imported ham sandwich and chips, and all I can say is it was Spectacular!

We come to Heroic Italian before seeing our play at Berkeley Rep and are always so glad we have chosen to eat here. The salads (this time we did the California Caprese salad - sooo good,, and enough for 2) are always hearty and original. The pinsas are a favorite -- we love the crispy crust and the fresh toppings. Serving is prompt and friendly. (and Berkely Rep patrons get a complimentary glass of Prosecco.). No wonder we keep returning!

Food is great Staff friendly and good ready fast. The inside eating area is spare and the music is annoying

I found a great Italian restaurant. Pasta was great and staffs were so nice. I will revisit this place when I want to have a pesto pasta for sure!

Great outdoor patio, food was great but service was slow even though we were there right when they opened and we were the only other party on the patio. We had to go inside to ask for the check.
