Tried Higher Land for the first time this morning and loved my white mocha (an indulgence on a cold wet morning!) Smooth, just strong enough, slightly smoky, and delicious. Looking forward to trying all their offerings, and to bringing the kids next time for hot chocolate in a waffle shot!

Summary: An easy choice if you're in need of a caffeine fix while at the Berkeley Farmer's Market. Try the waffle shot if you're looking for something different. Location: One of the stands at Berkeley's Farmer's Market. Experience: We walked past the Higher Land's coffee stand a few times with no intention of getting coffee, but decided to try them out after looking through their menu. The baristas were laid back, friendly, and not pushy like other stands at farmer's markets tend to be. Food: The item that caused us to stop and consider getting coffee at the farmer's market was the Waffle Shot. We've seen the waffle shot (espresso in a waffle cone) online, but this was the first time seeing it in person around the Bay Area. It was a fun alternative to regular espresso, although the cone was slightly stale. The espresso itself, as well as the Sun & Surf beans were both solid.

Higher Land Coffee is the lastest coffee vendor i've seen at a farmers market. they offer another twist that isn't easily ascertained at lst glance.locale: Berkeley farmers market (9/5/20)offerings: expresso, coffee, organic teasbrew: coffee (3.25) drip coffee, light roast-"sun & surf" blend light roast, very smooth, has bodyeasily better than starbucks' watery version. -only light roast offered.

I've become a regular at the Higher Land farmers' market booth; the coffee is delicious, and Lobsang and Sabrina are dedicated to their craft. I appreciate the exquisite care with which each cup is made (my mocha, stirred with a bamboo whisk), and that their cups and lids are fully compostable. It always feels special. On top of that, they bring a little grinder so you can order your bag of fresh-roasted coffee when you arrive at the market, and pick it up freshly ground as you leave! (The grinding takes a few minutes.)Their beans are organic AND shade-grown (the latter is much harder to find), from small sustainable farms, and they offer free door-to-door delivery on Fridays in the Berkeley/Albany/Richmond area. That may be my next step. Here's a latte toast to Higher Land!

Fresh, locally roasted fair trade coffee, what more can you ask for?! These guys took coffee to the next level with some super interesting recipes, including espresso served in a chocolate lined cone... soooooo damn good!If you're an East Bay local, find them every weekend at the Berkeley and Kensington Farmers Market serving amazing coffee!

If you want some absolutely delicious coffee, patronize Higher Land. I am addicted to espresso brewed with their moon and tides blend. Sooooo much better than P*#t's and delivered the day after roasting.

Higher Land Coffee has been the coffee vendor at the Sunday Colusa Circle farmers' market in Kensington since November 24. They joined the Saturday farmers' market in Berkeley at the beginning of 2020. Their coffees are roasted at CoRo on Fifth Street in West Berkeley. At their stand, they serve espresso drinks and pre-brewed coffee (but no pour-overs). They also sell ceramic cups for your coffee drinking at home. I ordered an espresso ($3 for a double) and liked it! Consider me a fan.
