Ike's Love & Sandwiches

The employed working 10/22/25 closed the restaurant at 8:50pm rather than the posted time of 9pm. Was told by her that they close ten minutes early “every day”; then they should post correct hours as to not inconvenience customers. Was looking forward to enjoying a vegan Pirates of the Caribbean sandwich all day. This was VERY DISAPPOINTING

I love this sandwich place. Show your student ID after 3PM, get any sandwich for around $9. That is almost 50% ($18 with tax). Big portion to fill you up. More than 30 options to choose from. Highly recommended anyone to come here and check it out.

paid ~$20 for a sandwich that had a wait time of like 30 minutes, and the taste itself was alright. plus no restroom

The staff is very nice and helpful. I had to take my students for a campus tour at UCB, and our program ordered 31 sandwiches. When the staff realized that I had to pick up the order on my own, they tried their best to accommodate me so I could conveniently carry everything by myself. Really appreciate the help!

Ordered sandwiches for my team, and was not disappointed! Food was fresh, made perfectly, and tasted amazing. I placed an order for the following day pickup, and it was ready exactly on time. Will definitely go back to try more on their menu!

Amazing place with very good customer service and understanding of course the food is amazing but also the service is even better. Best sandwiches in town . I appreciate Danny and Brads customer service which shows the value of a business as small things make big differences. I recommend anyone if you’re in Berkeley to try this spot out . 5 stars all day

Never been here before and cashier refused to take my order saying I was banned or something like that. Offered no explanation what so ever. Worst service ever.

Two soda foundations, neither worked. Had canned soda, wasn't offered as a substitute. No public restroom despite being required by law for paying customers. Chain restaurant, go somewhere else for your money.

Can’t believe it’s taken me so long to try this place. Their vegan meatball sub had a label next to it that reads “PETA named it best vega sub in the US!” I scoffed at the comment then quickly took it back once I took a bite into. Try the meatball sub on French bread !! 😍 Updated from previous review on 2024-07-09

The Reading Rainbow is DIVINE. Some locations have taken it off the menu but they’ll still make it on request. It’s avocado, pesto, cheese, lettuce, dirty sauce. Get it on Dutch Crunch. Very high in calories so not something I’d eat everyday buts it’s totally worth it as a treat.

This place got the best sub with that Steph Curry sub it so good.

I didn't realize it was a chain, looked interesting but just marketing, food was very boring and not very good and very expensive, service was surly to say the least, certainly won't ever want to go to any Ike's anywhere again...
