I don't go to Julia's for lunch very often but had lunch there with two good friends recently. The food was excellent (echoed by my two friends) and the atmosphere was relaxed and relatively quiet even the the restaurant was quite busy. I'll be back for lunch.
Julia's takes you back to a kinder, more gentle time which is something we all need these days. The Julia Morgan building is an architectural gem. The food is well prepared although it's a fairly basic menu selection. The service is excellent and Hans always welcomes you like you're an old friend.
We had a very nice dinner at Julia's. Our waiter was attentive, friendly and helpful. We shared a delicious salad that had been divided onto 2 plates for us. The rolls served with butter were very fresh, served warm and had a nice crust and we even had extra ones! (Barbara is writing this review...). Steve had the short ribs and said they were very tasty. I had the vegetarian pasta dish which had so many interesting and yummy ingredients. For dessert, we shared the lava cake,...
