Should have taken a pic of the food before eating it, but i didn't want to waste anymore time. If you have been to Surabaya, Indonesia, this is a little different than that one but just as good. Great portions, fresh, filling. I will definitely be coming back again with my family. Even my 3-year-old loved the noodles and broth, and he is picky. This place has wheelchair access. So if you have a difficult time walking, wheelchair, stroller, this is very easy to maneuver inside as well.

We prefer this location and atmosphere to the Alameda location. Service is counter-only, no table service by the folks behind the counter are patient. This was our second visit to this location and food was fresh and tasty. The seating areas, and self service utensil and condiment island in the middle of the dining room is well kept and tidy. No sticky tables with dried on funk. The high windows allows cheerful sunlight to bathe the dining area in inviting light. Street parking was easy to obtain, and they're just a few blocks from the Berkeley BART station and UC Berkeley Campus.

I'm here 4pm on weekdays. Ordered kitsune udon. Tempura station is empty. No tempura shrimp??? I go pay and no one is at the register. I stood there for 3mins and finally someone came from back. I go look for my table and tables are dirty. No one is there to supervise. My udon was over cooked. 讃岐うどんのコシが無さすぎ。As I am done eating and writing this review, no one is out cleaning the dining tables. It is just sad.

Showed up at 1130am Tuesday, had a Tonkutsu. It was good but broth temperature was not right. It was lukewarm, not hot. Please get the broth ready before serving customer. I would like to come back again.
