Came here on November 26th at 9:23 pm and the signs posted said closed at 10 pm. The employee locked the door at 9:23 and would not open it, even though it clearly said closed at 10. This is just super weird since I’ve always had a good experience here.

This place is THE WORST. Has the WORST EMPLOYEES and the WORST customer service. One of the employees was a very RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL old lady. We came in and saw she had an attitude with her other coworker who was a nice gentleman. We grabbed 4 cups for the family and my brother filled his cup to the brim where it was almost spilling off the sides. As we were done with toppings and about to pay, my brother licks off his ice cream off the side so it doesn’t spill and make a mess and the lady goes, “ HEY, stop licking the sides , I saw you since you were filling it you’ve been licking it and that’s NOT okay.” My brother who is 15 replied nicely and told her he only licked the sides so it doesn’t make a mess and she said no you aren’t. I jumped in and told her she could be nicer about it and claimed she was even though everyone in there saw the way she yelled at this 15 year old boy. I told her to not talk to him and if she had anything to say she could take it up with me as he’s only a child. The gentleman working alongside her was very kind and stated that my brother can grab a lid and that should help. I told her she could be nicer about it the same way her coworker was and then she said I can go ahead and kick you guys out. I told her no need since we didn’t even want to purchase from you anyways. I forgot my phone inside and told my brother to grab it and she disgustingly tells him, “Came back to taste more flavors?.” A shame that they have a cranky old lady working at a place filled with so much youth and families. I can’t believe they would even think to hire someone like this. Will be calling corporate since all these other reviews on here and on google talk about the terrible customer service!

Best froyo in Berkeley! The tart is thick and delicious, not watery like a lot of places. Lots of yummy and fresh toppings.

This place is fire but -1 star because it’s not always fire. But the vegan dark chocolate flavor and the chocolate shell are so good and this is a great establishment i hope it continues to flourish. 5 stars for great memories but in real life 4 for food.
I love menchie’s because it’s been there for me through all the ups and downs of my college years. But if you really care about me, if you really want to be there for me you’d refill the chocolate shell

This place is atrocious. Went on Monday for some post classes treat to get something sweet. Was so surprised by the uncleanliness of the place… I think I saw some small dead bugs on the floor just before I left. I still wanted to get some yogurt but after filling up my cups i realized it was too watery. It seems like the employees there are overworked and management is not investing any time or money into the facility. 1 star.
Horrible horrible ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT! I came into the store the other day for a cup of ice cream since its finally hot! I was so excited but immediately upon entering the store it was a disaster. I came on here to see if anyone else saw this, and soon saw more and more comments about the management of this business. It's very clear that whoever owns this store does not care about the satisfaction of their customers as they only respond to positive feedback!! As for the coupon incident, it's very clear that they're trying to maximize as much profit as possible while bending their so and so called 'rules'. Horrible management, I will not be coming back. They should replace it with something else.

bogo deal closed out at 6pm when official website clearly said all day, owner fully knew people were waiting in line for hours and purposely did not tell people. all they had was a tiny sign at the entrance that u had no way of seeing unless you were at the front of the line. I understand that you can close out the deal early, sure. But deliberately not communicating this to people, making them wait for hours, then driving purchases through the fact that they’ve already waited for such a long time is a borderline scam. Owner actually wasted everyones time when they fully know people are under the false impression of getting a promotion.

i enjoyed the yogurt and the atmosphere but the owner is so annoying with the samples. I mean cmon, he says it's because of COVID but it's yogurt..absolutely nothing is touching or spreading with anyone else. IF anything the spoons and handles are dirtier. Several other menchies allow samples so I will just go to those instead
