Teatime at Julia's is always a special treat! Nice selection of sweet and savory goodiesand teas.

Julia's is a real treasure near UC Berkeley in the historic Julia Morgan Berkeley City Club. The dining room is elegant and quiet, the food is excellent with reasonable prices for food of that quality. There is also an adjoining bar that is fun also. When there it's a good idea to take a walk through the building to see the architectural details.

The location has a classic European feel to it and the restaurant is very quiet and relaxing with fantastic food.

The perfect venue for an afternoon tea (which is offered on Tuesdays)to celebrate a birthday. This beautiful tradition seems so fitting in this gem of a restaurant that harkens to an earlier era. The high tea included a delicious array of small sandwiches, scones, desserts and each diner's choice of tea. We also enjoyed a sumptuous bottle of Sancerre from Julia's well curated wine list. Our server Hans was attentive to our needs throughout the experience. Thank you to the entire restaurant staff for creating such a memorable experience.

Despite being under staffed they managed to get us out in time for the theater. Food and ambience were incredible. I would definitely recommend it.

Delicious lunch, once again! We love both the chicken and fish sandwiches. Hans is a wonderful waiter.

A perfect location for an afternoon lunch with friends. Also, I was delighted to find out that there is an afternoon tea service. Will definitely be returning.

Good as always. Friday night was busy and not too noisy but they needed additional servers.

Delightful restaurant. Beautiful ambience. Appreciated all the gluten free options. The place has quirky hours.

Yes, we had a new server with a shadow of a mentor server. Still: timing off with every course (entree arrives 5 minutes after salad course; it gets cold; ignored and have to flag down servers to clear entree and get dessert menu; 20 minutes to dessert serve and no refills of water. Small issue on the side: the tablecloth looked like someone had wrinkled it up and slept in it before being layed on the table. NOT what we expected! Having said that, the entree and dessert were delicious and worth coming back for!

We celebrated a birthday and gathered special friends. We were received well. Not rushed. All questions answered. Our server, Maria was THE BEST. So professional, polite and smiling. We were so fortunate to have her that day. Food is well prepared and portions very good. Go hungry for sure. Desserts were great. We'll return for sure. Thank you so much to Julia's and Maria.

Eating at Julia's/Berkeley City Club is always an enchanting experience. The Julia Morgan designed building is fabulous inside out. One feels stepping right back into older and better days, gentle and beautiful. The food at Julia's has been consistently fine and delicious. I don't recall ever having a less than satisfying meal there. Lunch and dinner are equally wonderful. lunch and brunch on weekends are great! Credit to the chef who does such a wonderful job. So are the wait staff. They are polite, courteous and eager to help. Julia's is my choice of dining with special friends, family, especially very civilized seniors. Caroline Z.

Before being seated at my table, I sat in the bar area. Took a while to obtain a cocktail. After being seated at my table, service was warm, friendly and attentive. As the meal was being served, I was informed that the plate would be hot. The meal itself (entrée) was way too hot. Took a while for it to cool down. Wine and dessert were the highlight of the meal.

The food was of average quality and the waiter brought two of our party food that they didn't order.
