Tonight was truly special. Mount Everest Restaurant delivered not just an incredible meal, but a memorable experience filled with warmth, flavor, and authenticity.
A huge shout-out to Arvin — the Head Chef and Owner — who personally created a delicious dinner for us this evening. Every dish was perfectly balanced, rich in flavor, and clearly made with passion and pride. You can taste the love, tradition, and mastery in every bite.

From the beautifully presented plates to the cozy, welcoming atmosphere, everything was exceptional. The spices were spot-on, the food was fresh and comforting, and the service made us feel like family rather than just guests.
If you’re looking for authentic Himalayan / Indian cuisine in Berkeley, this place is a must-visit. Whether you’re dining with friends, family, or celebrating a special moment, Mount Everest Restaurant will not disappoint.

We came in during lunch where there’s a $10 deal. The atmosphere is very warm and the waitress Asmita was super nice and informative, even giving us extra sugar for the dahi. Would definitely recommend again!

Love this spot! I get takeout from them all the time living nearby. I have a sensitive stomach (but still love cream based sauces ^_^) but have never had a stomachache from their food unlike other spots.

If you’re looking for a place that serves truly unforgettable food, this is it! Their chow mein is absolutely incredible—it’s always my go-to and it never disappoints. The noodles are perfectly cooked, the vegetables are crisp and fresh, and the flavor is so rich and satisfying. Every bite feels comforting yet full of life. Honestly, it’s one of the best dishes I’ve had anywhere, and I keep coming back just for it.

But what really makes this place special is not just the food, it’s the people. The staff are consistently friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They make you feel at home the moment you walk in and genuinely care about giving you a great experience. That combination of delicious food and warm service is hard to beat.

I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. If you haven’t tried their chow mein—or any of their dishes—you owe it to yourself to stop by. You won’t regret it!!

My husband and I both agree this is one of the best Nepali meal we’ve ever had! We will definitely be driving from Marin to visit this place again! Excellent service too!

Arvin and Puja prepare authentic Nepalese Food that is delicious. My favorites are the Palak Panner, Mixed Vegetable, and Paneer Tikamasala as I am vegetarian. The Nan and Roti are to die for. I love the down to earth homie atmosphere and friendly service. It you want good quality wholesome food in a relaxed and friendly setting, this is your place. I highly recommend Mount Everest to anyone.

Beautiful restaurant, loved the atmosphere. Amazing food and lovely service, we came for bite of Berkeley and our students absolutely loved it. Especially the Nann bread, it was so good!!
