this review is long overdue! this is one of my absolute favorite spots to eat in all of downtown berkeley, not once has the food disappointed in the slightest. the fried chicken and tofu are great but the bbq chicken is godly. please try it. the serving size is perfect in my opinion— filling but not too heavy. the owner & staff are always working hard and they’re super sweet… love this place for real
New nice spot near downtown berkeley for a quick fresh korean bowl (cupbop) meal! The restaurant is self serve and has a great amount of options. I got the japchae, purple rice, corn, carrots, kimchi and the spicy pork!! Very authentic korean flavor. It’s freshly grilled by the nice korean lady running the place. The kimchi flavor was fresh not too sour. All the veggies were pretty fresh. Sauces were good. I got the bimbop sauce not too spicy more gochujang flavor so a bit savory. It was very flavorful, I’m planning to come back and try their other meats!!

Randomly found this Korean place in Berkeley and was pleasantly surprised. I tried the Korean Fried Chicken and it was super delicious, dare I say best I have tried. Yup I said it.. it was super crunchy and the flavor was spot on for KFC. The meals come in cup (bowl - hence mr.cupbob) with a protein, your choice of rice or salad, a side and your choice of 5 toppings. I tried the purple rice, japchae , bean sprouts, corn, cucumber, edamame and mushrooms. Will definitely try it again when I'm in the area!
