Great addition to the Berkeley community! I saw that they had bulgolgi fries so I just had to stop by and try. I ended up also getting an order of the kfc bowl with purple rice and japchae. Everything was made to order and came out super fresh. The spicy mayo was the perfect topping for both and made the food so much richer and flavorful. Our food also came out relatively quick and the presentation was beautiful (see attached photo)! We went during opening time so it wasn't busy but this place will be a hit for sure!

Good food quickly. The woman who helped was very sweet and earnest. Agree with the other reviews that there's definitely more food for your money elsewhere. The fried chicken was hot and juicy and the bbq chicken was solidly good.

It's always nice when there's a vegetarian option at places (tofu) and versatility in what to get with your meal. I don't think I've had Korean food before tbh, at least not in several years, and I was very pleased. White rice mixed with lettuce and a few other toppings really was perfect. I'd definitely come here again. It was enough food for two meals for me too.

I got a chicken cupbob and the Korean chicken was amazing and the mushrooms were perfect. Wasn't a long wait or busy and the food was very fresh.

I want to like this place but I have to agree with other posts that there are simply other spots that taste better and give you more bang for your buck. Pros: good concept, relatively easy to order, and ingredients are fresh. Cons: Flavors (tried both the spicy pork and the pork belly) are meh, took awhile to get my order, no free water or tea (at least as far as i can see), and portion sizes are small considering the costs. I hope this place turns it around soon.

Quick Summary: - Customizable bowls - reminds me of poke bowls - Large portions and a balanced ratio of food and rice - Located alongside the street leading to the University (west side) - Parking not readily available on that street, so you will need to find somewhere else if you are planning to stay and eat I ordered this via online app, and I viewed the menu to review the customizable options. I shared a photo of what my first order was, and I intentionally left out naming it. These are the items that I ordered: - Korean Fried chicken, purple rice, Japchae, pickled cabbage, sweet corn, kimchi, lettuce, edamame, bibimbop Sauce The dish was very good! The portion is great for one person, it could even be enough to be eaten in two different time (lunch or dinner for example). The food ratio is well-done: the rice and the topping and proteins were equal, and the bowl was cleared out evenly. I chose the fried chicken, and although I didn't try the other protein options yet, this one was an instant favorite. I loved the crispy texture of the exterior!

My Korean boyfriend said it's exactly how it is in Korea

Solid korean BBQ bowl! I had the spicy pork which is my fave... wasn't as balanced or good as some of the better KBBQ spicy pork I've had before but for the price? Hard to beat! You get to choose your protein and base and sides. Got Spicy pork over white rice with Kim chee, carrots, edamame, cucumbers and topped it off with the bibimbap sauce. Very good deal for about 14 bucks.... I'll be back!

Loved this place! I came in when it was empty and the employees were really helpful and answered my numerous questions about sauces and sides. The Korean fried chicken was full of flavor, the toppings were fresh, the jabchae was yummy, overall just a really tasty meal. Will definitely be back!

I'm giving this place 5 stars for what it is. A delicious inexpensive for some fast Korean snacky food. The tukbokki with kimari and potsticker was just what I wanted. Sauce was just the right spicy and sweetness level. I will try their other dishes.

This is a review based on one lunch bowl. Honestly, it was much better than I expected. I had a bbq chicken bowl. The ordering takes a bit of time: you order the type of bowl, then choose a whole bunch of other options. There is a human order-taker, and also the option of using a screen, but that's not immediately obvious since it's positioned beyond the human order-taker, and oriented away from your view. Maybe that's a good option if the line is long because the ordering takes more time than usual (no line when I ordered). Then, it takes a while to get your bowl. It seems that's because the protein is made fresh, i.e. they put the chicken on the barbie right then. And it's a decent amount of chicken, rice and assorted other stuff. If you're a light eater, it could provide two meals, which makes the cost quite decent. Oh, and did I already tell you, dear reader, that the bowl was delicious? I didn't? Well, it was very delicious with the bibimbap sauce.

Second time getting from here. The customer service is always great and the food is really good. I will say the meat portion looks a bit smaller here but I guess that's the Bay Area in general. Overall I would recommend to those new to Korean food, like myself.

Life is 2 short 4 bad coffee

Randomly found this Korean place in Berkeley and was pleasantly surprised. I tried the Korean Fried Chicken and it was super delicious, dare I say best I have tried. Yup I said it.. it was super crunchy and the flavor was spot on for KFC. The meals come in cup (bowl - hence mr.cupbob) with a protein, your choice of rice or salad, a side and your choice of 5 toppings. I tried the purple rice, japchae , bean sprouts, corn, cucumber, edamame and mushrooms. Will definitely try it again when I'm in the area!Vegetarian options: tofu and veggies
