Top notch quality and so delicious. Service is great. We keep coming back!

Rude customer service. Napkins are only given with a purchase of items

The food is pretty disappointing, the portion is small, and the customer service just absolutely horrible. Even the simple act of napkins requires a receipt for proof of purchase.

I wanted to like the banh mi sandwich since there is a conspicuous dearth in Berkeley, but was pretty disappointed. The pork belly was flavorful, but the entire sandwich was so oily that a small puddle formed on the table while I was eating, and the bread was quite stale and almost painful to bite into. To add insult to injury, when I went back to ask for a napkin, I received one tiny piece of paper which proved inadequate at soaking up the mess.

Food is good. Customers service could be better. Please don't rush customer to pay if there is not seating space half hour before closing time. At least have a sign saying no seating available at specific time. Super nice attitude before paying but crappy attitude after transaction was done. Seating area outside are full with kids studying. At least let customers enjoy the ~14$ food in a table if possible.

Noodle Girl has good food for decent-ish prices for the Bay Area. I visit pretty often since it's so central to campus, and the fact that they're on Snackpass is really helpful too! FOOD: I've tried the chicken rice bowl, tofu rice bowl, and five-spice beef before, and I was pretty satisfied with all of them. The rice is cooked with ginger, and it's been really tasty and fragrant every time I get it. The veggies are also so good and change up every time. The five-spice beef bowl was also delicious, although my only complaint with all the meat dishes was that the meat was always kinda fatty. It may just be a difference in preference/the food I ate growing up, but I found myself having to separate super fatty pieces from the rest of the meat every time. That won't stop me from coming back, though! I'll probably just be sticking to the tofu bowl. It still lowkey hurts to pay $12-$13+tax for the portions, but I feel like that's becoming the standard around Berkeley and definitely in La Cocina. SERVICE: I've never had a bad experience here! The employees are all really nice and helpful. They also offered me a free little confectionary once, but it had almond so I had to decline. Still appreciated the gesture though! AMBIENCE: It's in La Cocina Cantina, so be prepared to be surrounded by studying students. Perfect if you are a studying student though! The counter where you pick it up is always pretty clean + organized, and there's seating outside of MLK on Lower Sproul as well.

My favorite place to get bahn mi on campus. And there is much competition! The pork belly is excellent and the combination of vegetables that come with it is also fresh and crunchy. I've really enjoyed their beef pho before but they've decided to discontinue it this semester for some reason.

When Noodle Girl first opened the quality of food was to die for! Tofu banh mi was marinated to perfection inside of a soft baguette. Pork belly noodle bowls out of this world juicy and not stingy with the portions or even utensils. Now that they've reopened for the Fall semester the quality has diminished. The banh mi's were freshly prepared and now they're premade and dry. All the napkins and utensils are behind the counter. I haven't tried the bowls or new dishes yet but not sure I will since that super aggressive cashier is still there! I was the only person in line and 1 other person was waiting for their order. He paced around like there was a line of 20 behind me waiting for their food. Don't even ask for extra anything. You'll get a teaspoon size and accused of "oh you wanted MORE??" damn if I'm paying $10 and the portion was stingy yes, I'd like more. I'll probably go to rice and bones because you get bang for your expensive buck.

I met the owner, Hang, who is a wonderful cook. She is very particular in choosing her ingredients, so that she can prepare wonderful meals. Her curry chicken is delicious and we enjoy eating the noodles with the rich broth. She uses compostable packaging. Definitely recommend this place.

Noodle Girl is run by a wonderful woman, Hang, who treats her customers like family. I've catered from here multiple times for several events and they have not failed to deliver. Their BBQ chicken is to die for. Same with their BBQ tofu. Highly recommend for a full bowl of food during lunch. It will cure your late afternoon hangry moods. Fresh modern Vietnamese food and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Most delicious Pho in Berkeley. You can't go wrong with the food in this place and the service is high quality. Hidden gem under the student union.

Noodle Girl is one of the restaurants in the La Cocina Cantina inside the MLK Building of the Berkeley ASUC Student Union. They're a pop-up that will be here at least until the end of this semester. They serve noodle bowls, pho, banh mi, and a few types of appetizers; a full menu is on the ASUC Student Union's website (but it wasn't up to date with the menu when I visited). I've tried their organic chicken pho ($12), which I really liked. The broth is very deep, flavorful, and well-spiced; it's slightly on the sweeter side. The "go big" portion is filling and comes with a large serving of noodles. The chicken meat wasn't anything super special but the broth and noodles were really tasty. My friend also enjoyed his organic beef pho ($12). Recommended for both taste and value. I definitely plan to be back for their noodle bowls and more of their pho, which is super comforting and nourishing, especially on a chilly day. Also, yay for compostable utensils/bowls and for La Cocina's mission of supporting women entrepreneurs in the food industry :)
