I love this place and am very sad they are closing. They had the best roast beef sandwich in town and a great selection of Scandinavian and European foods, including their homemade Swedish meatballs and great cheeses and candies. The Thanksgiving/First Advent buffet were legendary! I also appreciated their kitchen ware and other merchandise- my house has a lot of Dala horse items. Best wishes to Lars and the staff for their friendliness over the years.

Go get yourself a house special pastrami on rye with all of the spicy fixings. You will NOT be sorry - unless you are susceptible to heartburn. Horseradish, pepperoncini, spicy brown mustard, and more made this the most delicious pastrami sandwich I've ever had.... and I grew up on the East Coast.I went in to the NH deli because I knew (from many past experiences) that they have quick, tasty, inexpensive sandwiches that are made with fresh ingredients (meats and cheese sliced in house, salads made there, refrigerator case clean and well kept, etc.). I can also grab a drink and some chips, or a gnome, apron, Swedish rolling pin, or kipper whilst there, if I need to.Anyway, I planned to order my standard turkey on rye, but to my delight there was a special that day and OH MY GOD. Life changed. Took that baby to the park and my poor daughter proceeded to watch me eat the whole thing and then try to roller skate with her. I gotbthere, eventually. It was worth it. Please, go get this sandwich!

Stocking a wide range of things of Scandinavian origin and themes. Their deli sandwiches are like a Thanksgiving meal, and the atmosphere is cheery like that too. A great place to find a little sanctuary perhaps to re-connect with a beautiful time in one's life.
