Five of us had dinner on Father's Day--all family. There is a changing menu plus a menu with regular offerings. The pasta dishes with clams or mussels got raves as did the ricotta-spinach calzone which was cooked in a brick oven. Their caesar salad was crispy and served with slices of anchovies and perfectly crisped garlic croutons. This is the second time we've eaten at Passione Emporia and we will definitely go again.
We had a wonderful dinner with 11 people! Including my elderly grandparents, one with mobility issues. The table was perfect for all of us, the food was amazing and came out quickly, considering how many of us there were, and the drinks were also fabulous.
This small place nestled in the Aquatic area of West Berkeley has a very cozy neighborhood ambiance. I can imagine being a regular, either for a meal or stopping by for a scoop of gelato. Food was good and wait staff very friendly. While we reserved an outdoor table, we moved indoors as it turned out to be cooler than expected (there are no heat lamps) and the staff person was very accomodating in finding us an indoor table.
We had the Jovanotti pizza, crust-excellent; weekly special salad arugula w/strawberries and little of gorgonzola cheese. Dessert had affogato and gelato, very good will go back to try the fresh pasta. neighborhood gem.
Mellow atmosphere for a long late lunch on a Sunday. Delicious pizza, salad, lasagne. The gelato hazelnut & pistachios were divine. Would like to come back one evening to taste the raviolis.
Very good Italian Food in the Berkeley Aquatic Park area. It was a little slow last night, but the food was outstanding. Huge portions on the prosciutto and adequate portions on the pasta. As the night went on, more people came in and dined. I was impressed that they make their own flour, pasta, and gelato. Check it out.
We love our neighborhood restaurants and Passione Emporio is always a wonderful experience.
What a cute an cozy place. The food was amazing. The service was friendly and outstanding. Will come here again
amazing pizza actually all the food every dish was excellent. You really do feel like you're in Italy eating.
Delicious food, warm professional service, This place is a true neighborhood gem. Perfect for families, groups of friends and casual dates. We have tried both the pasta and the pizza and both are excellent.

Delicious pizza and great service. Located in a quiet neighborhood. I will definitely go back.
Serving sizes were small, especially for the price. The waiters forgot our order and asked for our order several times, so it took an hour to get the food. The menu was reduced for Valentine's Day, which was disappointing bc there were specific items on the menu we wanted to try. Would not recommend
Staff were pleasant and hustling; however, the restaurant seemed to be understaffed. On more than one occasion a server came by to question if we had received one of our courses, which we had not. Long waits. It was Valentine's day though...
Made Valentine's Day reservations, two weeks ahead. Arrived before 7 for 7 PM reservation. After 15 minutes with no service opened the champagne we brought and poured it in the empty water glasses. After another 15 minutes, asked the manager to have someone take our order since we had been there a half hour. Someone did. 15 minutes later a salad arrived that we did not order. They took it away. 15 minutes later we left. No idea how the food was. We were there for an hour with no food. Tables around us had food they seem to enjoy it. Service was nonexistent.
Not what we expected after the glowing reviews. It was Valentine's Day and we were given a special menu and had to ask for the pizza menu. We started with the the arancini which was pretty good served with a simple tomato sauce - but we have had better. The fennel salad contained many slices at the root which should have been removed. For our mains we had the gnocchi and mussels. The gnocchi were floating in the broth which gave them the consistency of rubber erasers. There was no bowl for the mussel shells. The lasagna consisted of 2 small and very thin sheets of pasta with an equally thin piece of eggplant between topped with cold ricotta and cherry tomatoes surrounded by a heart shaped smear of tomato sauce. It was so tiny it could have been an appetizer. It was sent back because it was cold. In hindsight we should have ordered the pizza which looked pretty good. Sorry but we will not return.
