We went here for a special event and genuinely enjoyed our meal and the friendly staff
Great organic food! They created Sahngrila buddha previously- the owner reopened this new location. Definitely one of my local favorites.
Food was incredible tasting-plant based organic whole foods cooked with little to no oil. Healthy and hearty! We shared the "momos" steamed veggie dumplings and had the modest (medium) plate. The plate featured delicious millet pilaf, collards with a shitake leek sauce, yellow split peas, mixed steamed veggies with a different succulent sauce, and spring mix salad with a fruity dressing. YUM! After that, there was no room for the tempting desserts! I wish this place was closer to my house because I'd be there weekly. The atmosphere is very pleasant too.
Really lovely restaurant serving macrobiotic vegan food. Perfect for those following the whole foods/plant-based diet. Their food is fairly low in salt, which I really appreciated. They do use small amounts of oil. They are so kind and welcoming. What a great spot to get something akin to what my health-conscious family eats at home. Very welcome and comforting to encounter this kind of food while traveling. I also love that they offered local kombucha from Koast kombucha, a brand I didn’t encounter anywhere else on my trip.
Happy Cow introduced us to this wonderful new restaurant. Absolutely delicious, clean food in an unassuming location on Solano Avenue. Nothing quite like it. Patron determines portion size and that gets served more than you can possibly consume in one sitting. Very flavorful. More than reasonably priced. We’ll be back sooner than later!
I was greeted by a super sweet man who helped me decide on a lunch selection. I ordered the rice, greens, and salad. Tea and soup came with my order. I also had a chocolate chip cookie. Everything was great: the food, the charming dining room, the healthy/vegan options, and the friendly conversation. Although there was a limited menu, I loved the food.
We are thrilled to have a vegan restaurant in Berkeley serving a whole foods meal that is healthy, beautifully presented, and tasty. The fixed menu changes daily for lunch and dinner (closed Tuesdays), and they offer three portion sizes. The plates feature a balanced array of vegetables, proteins (different varieties of beans or lentils), rice/quinoa and salad with a variety of sauces and flavors. For dessert they offer key lime pie and similar coconut/cashew/avocado-based pies and cookies. Help yourself to the twig tea and relax in the calm environment.
Lovely ambience and presentation of the food. Makes you feel nourished and calm. I found it a tad salty but others in my group didn’t. Healthy but with no sacrifice to flavor.
Since discovering Peace Natural Vegan Food a couple of months ago my wife and I have been making regular treks to Albany to pick up their food. We live in the Outer Avenues of SF, so it’s not a quick and easy trip. This goes to show how much we enjoy this place. If you’re a vegan who’s looking for delicious whole food based dishes and not a bunch of ultra-processed faux meats, I highly recommend this place. The staff are incredibly nice, the food is great, and it honestly gives me vibes of my early vegan days from 20 years ago. As their name says, it’s a warm and peaceful spot to have a good meal. It truly is our new favorite vegan spot and I can’t recommend it enough.
My parents and I went for dinner tonight and we all loved it! The food is healthy and tasty. The staff was very nice. It is a nice sit down restaurant with a clean restroom.

This is a traditional Himalayan Buddhist restaurant with pre fixe menus offered by size. The owner, Palden, (see history of a Lama with the same name in Tibet) previously owned Potala. This restaurant is expanded to include more options including momos! It also has a lovely group room that honors the Tibetan Buddhist spirit. The food is consistently fresh, macrobiotic, and organic. Desserts are sugar free. I recently hosted a group lunch for 14 people. Palden handled everything with ease and grace. I always leave here feeling nourished in body and soul. Parking is easy. There is a sister Tibetan shop right next door.
I came in for an early lunch. I was greeted by a friendly staff person who explained the menu and got my meal going right away. I chose the moderate middle option but there was so much food I will not need dinner. A flavorful lentil soup started the meal. The plate that came out after the soup was piled high. The salad with avocado mint dressing was so fresh. The beans with onion are good but I do like beans spicy. There was cayenne pepper on the table to give them a bit more kick. A good sized helping of roasted butternut squash and potatoes smelled heavenly and tasted good. I was completely taken with the greens. I am not a huge kale fan. These were cooked perfectly and covered with a shallot sauce. The greens mixed well with everything else on the plate and were tasty by itself. Yummy. I enjoyed all this with a bottomless cup of delicious tea. Really a perfect lunch for a chilly afternoon.

Wish I could visit here every day. We come from Orinda to enjoy this quiet, very clean and welcoming sanctuary with such delicious and nourishing food. We always have the "generous" plate along with the momo dumplings and fresh rolls. Each item has its own unique sauce from mushroom to tofu leek to sweet beet dressing which adds the most scrumptious flavors. Each day there will be a fresh green salad, a cooked greens dish such as collard greens, a cooked vegetable such as beets with radishes, a grain such as rice with quinoa, and a bean dish such as black eyed peas or lentils. Each meal also comes with a bowl of hot soup such as lentil or split peas, tea and water. Just think of how much work goes into preparing all of these different dishes- the cleaning, chopping, cooking and flavoring. Believe me, the flavorings are everything, it is special and so appreciated.

This is a new restaurant and I’m so glad they opened. They are close to Shangrila Buddha which has similar food but I am going to make a point of frequenting both. Peace Natural has cookies which the other doesn’t but they both have pies and delicious wholesome food. I love the format of lots of greens, a bean or legume, a grain and roasted vegetables. The grain this time was millet which I haven’t had at this style of restaurant before. They also have 3 plate sizes which is new to me. Very tasty. I highly recommend Peace Natural Vegan Food.
