The food here is great. But, I've reached the limit on what my pocketbook can Justify for a bowl of broth. I started going here pre-pandemic, but since then the cost has increased twice. The cost is almost double what it was. I had the small seafood pho with tip was 23.00. Really not a lot of seafood either to justify it. Go, enjoy your meal. But expect to pay more then you would expect.

They could use more meat in a beef filet mignon dish. We got the filet mignon over rice and although both the rice and the meat tasted delicious there just wasn't that much meat in total for the price that we paid. I actually asked if there was more meat in their filet mignon over vermicelli dish but I was told it's the same amount of beef exactly. Service was good but not perfect because a few times we had to get their attention to get more drinks. The interior seemed nice but I'm not a fan of a big bright TV on a relaxing dinner meal. If it was up to me I'd replace it with a nice fish tank that helps set a more relaxing mood. The parking situation is hit or miss but usually at night in that area you can find a spot without too much trouble. I know all restaurants are looking for ways to save money but skimping on the meat that is the center of a meat dish is only going to give you customers that will not return.
Parking: Depending on the time of day or night there's either paid street parking or free street parking at night and unlike some areas of downtown Berkeley you can usually find a spot without too much trouble, at least at night time.

Nice place, great service. The food was a bit uneven. Some things were great, others less so. Overall, the quality and preparation of the meat and vegetables was very nice. However, I was pretty disappointed in the noodles in the pork vermicelli.

Pho Tasty in Berkeley is quite alright. They dish up Vietnamese cuisine specializing in pho. Many vegan options on the menu. I enjoyed a hearty nourishing bowl of the Vegetable Pho Chay that came with heaps of veggies in a vegetable broth and added tofu. It was quite alright.
Service was very friendly along with being accommodating.
There are two screens in the restaurant that were showing sports including a tennis game and the Lakers vs Grizzlies basketball game. I saw LeBron and company against the Grizzlies with Scottie Pippen junior who is a dynamic 23 year old guard who while shorter than his hall of fame father still has serious game. Scottie Pippen attended the game so enjoyed my bowl of pho and got to take in some hoops.
Recommended for tasty nourishing pho in the heart of Berkeley with plenty of vegan options.
Been coming here for a few years now. A touch pricey but worth every penny. If you’re a fan of Phó you’ll love this spot, if you’re not, the Phó here is good enough to change your mind. Fantastique!
