Great service with a guy whose been doing this for years, the place excells in toppings and crispy crusts, but, the real diamond in the rough is the sandwiches. Goats cheese, salad leaves, cold cured meats, artichokes. The sandwiches in here vastly outdo the meager fare of the subway next door and deserve a try from anyone who likes good food.

This shop is underrated at anything below 5 stars! If you're looking for a one-time visit to Instagram your pizza, there may be better options for that. If you want to eat your pizza, and are looking for an affordable go-to, this is the place! For an east coast transplant I was shocked by how difficult it is to find a $10-$15 pie here in the bay area. Sure, plenty of 'gourmet', novelty, or wood-oven that'll run you $30 plus for a personal pizza, but what about tasty and reasonably priced? Pizzahhh's the answer. This has become a favorite for quick takeout lunch or dinner; always very fast with consistent quality. Tim is the maestro here and brings the Jersey shore style pizza to Berkeley. He's also a great guy that I enjoy chatting with whenever I come in - and while I've seen other staff less frequently, they've always been friendly as well. My only wish was that they were open later, and hours are somewhat unpredictable. But if you call in and it's closed the current hours are always on the answering machine. If it was open all the time I probably wouldn't have much variety in my meals... Cheese pizza for Pete!

I LOVE this Pizza BUT IM MAD. I've been trying to come to this establishment for about a month but it's always closed? I get off class at 3 pm. And it's always closed... I'm confused, it's supposed to be open until 4 and I can never buy it when I want

Lots of choices, and this is one of them. Ingredients were fresh but I just didn't get along with the crust as well. I'd be willing to give it another shot - not a huge investment! - so I'd say for now that it might be a matter of preference.

I'll start by saying that this dude has an attitude, but in a nice way. He's just more real then what we have gotten used to. The pizza is some of the best I've had in California. Very close to NYC quality, but he needs to work on making the dough a bit chewier. The sauce could also be upgraded to be more robust. I'll be coming back.

This is proberbly the best price/value you van find in whole Berkeley. The pizza is awesome, the owner is cool and you can have a seat outside and look down hearst ave. Highly recommended!
Was my fave pizza spot in Berkeley but they changed the pizza dough and its no longer chewy and crunchy. A slice of pizza is too wet especially in the center and the only crunchy part is the crust, major disappointment. The pizza is too thin that it can't handle all the cheese, sauce and toppings. The ingredients are still fresh and well spread/mixed throughout the pizza, and the flavoring is on point but I likely won't be coming back since the wetness isn't appetizing.

Good handmade pizza! Simple place that packs a lot of flavor. So many fountain drink options that I have not seen before. Limited indoor bar type seating but plenty of outdoor choices. I would return here again if I want some pizzahhh.
