Although the service is good, the food is not worth the value. Moreover the taste is not authentic.

The food quality is amazing, and it’s actually spicy! Best Indian food in Berkeley by miles. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Food is good but the portions are small for a $25 meal. Not worth the value. It's just way too expensive for a casual street food.

High quality ingredients and as authentic, great tasting good. But the portion sizes has dropped drastically since they have opened. Getting expensive to eat from here but would support them in the near future.

A quiet place with delicious food prepared by people who really care about their food. Seems like it ought to be busier than it is.

My first visit. Not familiar with south Indian food so I asked for a recommendation. Braised chicken in a spicy sauce with spicy biryani style basmati rice and a mango shake. Ok, but next time I will ask for something less spicy. Friendly helpful staff. Street parking.

Overall my husband and I didn't have a good experience at Pochys and won't return.
1) Very slow and non-existent service. You order by yourself at the counter with no staff. After placing the order it's a super long wait for the food with no indication of whether it will arrive at all because there was no staff around.
2) They got our order wrong - husband ordered paneer and got chicken instead.
3) I ordered butter chicken masala and what I got was NOT chicken masala looked exactly the same as what my husband ordered (Tenali Kura).
4) We got the mango lassi and hibiscus drink. Both were awful. Worst mango lassi I've had in my life and I've had plenty.
5) Food was so-so. It doesn't taste bad or anything but just not exceptional considering the price. I've had much better Indian food in the Bay and especially even better ones in Singapore and Malaysia (which has a large South Indian population)

Craving some Indian food for lunch so ordered from pochy's via Uber eats. Donne biriyani is amazing. The flavor for tonality kura roll is on point (like Telugu on point). Manchurian is crispy and delicious but not as saucy as the one you get in bangalore. Will definitely try it again.

Fantastic but SPICY!!😉 The aloo Kati rolls were soft and melt in your mouth!😋 The minute you walk in the aromas in the air told me this place was like a home kitchen in India🇮🇳 vs the typical curry smells in indian restaurants (which I also like).
You get 2 Kati rolls per order..I didn’t like the wheat wrap much, a bit dry and plain, but the contents were so good, slow-cooked veggies full of flavor, it made up for it. Plus they said they’re revving up to have dosa wraps beyond just weekends. I’ll be back to try those. I love dosas and they’re oddly hard to find around here apart from Vick’s.
Again, if you can do American medium spicy but not indian or Asian medium spicy, get only mild things!

Ate outdoors on a beautiful breezy shaded patio. Ordered Chicken 65, Gobi Manchurian with the fried rice, Shaadi Ki Subzi Paneer (paneer hand wrap)
The manchurian was deliciously crispy and well seasoned, and Pochy's did not hold back with any of the spices! The owner told me they roast and grind their own spices, having the processing happen so close to the kitchen does wonders for the flavor.
The Chicken 65 had intense juicy and bright lime notes that almost reminded me of jerk seasoning, beautifully marinated and the crisp on the cook was just amazing.
