Disappointed with the food—rolls were cold and had uncooked paneer and raw tasting bell peppers, and the fried rice was bland.

Tried on my lunch break and was surprised that the place I selected for a quick bite ended up being some of the best Indian food I've had in this part of the bay.

We've been there twice and tried a number of dishes. Overall, the food is about average to below average among all the chat places in the Bay Area. Service is non-existent as you self order and pick up from the counter. No thoughts to a number of tables bunched up in the small dining area.
Ultimately, the high price for the small portion food is a big turn off. You can go to Vik's and get better food for less.

This is the best Indian food you can get in Berkeley! (Even better than Viks) We got the Vada Pav, Masala Chai and Donne Biryani. Everything tasted great and authentic! Vada pav reminded me of homemade ones in Bombay. Owner was very nice and welcoming. We are definitely coming back for sure!

If you're craving an authentic South Indian experience, this restaurant is the place to go. Unlike many other Indian spots around Berkeley, you can truly taste the difference here. They use their own blend of spices, which gives their dishes a distinct, authentic flavor that you won’t find anywhere else. The Karnataka-style biryani is a standout—rich, flavorful, and made just right. The Gobi Manchurian here also takes you straight to the heart of home-cooked comfort food, with the perfect balance of crispy and tender. What really sets this place apart is how healthy and tasty the food is, leaving you satisfied without feeling overly heavy. Highly recommend this spot for anyone wanting a genuine South Indian meal!

Really tasty! Portions are a little small for the price, but that seems to be the case everywhere these days. I'm just not used to it.

good: Quality food, friendly people, lime juice is great
bad: small portions for the price, unwelcoming dining room, and A-frame signs on the street around the neighborhood which are intrusive

So glad Pochys has joined the neighborhood. We had biryani, gobi manchurian rolls, kurma and ulta vada pav. All very flavorful and the last one fried perfectly. Great service and staff. Will definitely be coming back for more!
