I ordered a BLT and it was literally all bacon fat. No meat. Very disappointing .. I want my money back.

Whenever I pass by this fanciful little building in Berkeley, I keep thinking of "The Princess Bride", especially when Billy Crystal, I mean Miracle Max says, "You rush a miracle man, you get rotten miracles." It has that Cotswolds storybook cottage look about it, and I have no idea why (photo: It used to be a cute lunch spot, the Rainbow Ranch Cafe, but now the owners changed it to a more hybrid Asian menu with hot food served in plastic bento trays and bowls (photo: Jamie W. and I were strolling by when we were feeling a bit peckish for a late Saturday afternoon. Judging by the servings, we definitely felt it catered to the peckish more than the famished. Jamie tried the $8.50 Curry Chicken Rice which he thought was pretty adequate as the curry was more on the thin side. It came with steamed broccoli florets and a small salad to keep things healthy (photo: I went for the $9.90 Japanese Unagi-don where the grilled eel pieces were overly lubricated with teriyaki sauce amid the broccoli, pickled daikon, seaweed, and baby tomato slices (photo: It was a bit on the middling side. No need to rush the miracle man here. FOOD - 3 stars...Japanese food a bit generic for our tastes AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...I felt like a leprechaun in a fairy tale...kinda SERVICE - 3.5 stars...a nice couple runs the place TOTAL - 3 stars...just wished the food matched the charm of the building RELATED - Looking for other dining options in Berkeley? Great service and it's so cute! I got the chicken ramon and it was pretty good on a chilly day.

They just added a mapo tofu bento! It's really good! I like to stop by for a quick lunch or dinner. It's located in a really great spot off of MLK so easy walking distance from Shattuck. Their bentos are good and they come with a side of veggies! Every time I come here I've been impressed with how nice the owners are. Stop by!

Very cute little place for you to take a quick lunch! Love the delicious chicken wings and the wonton soup. Definitely recommend!

The food was cheap and affordable but it just wasn't that good. I ordered the shrimp wonton noodle soup, which turned out to be a Japanese tonkatsu ramen with wontons. The flavors we're quite bland and for the same price I rather they put wontons in korean instant ramen

First impression: really cute!! The restaurant looks like an adorable cottage, and the decorations inside were also appealing. Unfortunately for Chloe Cafe, the food wasn't as great as I expected (for the price), although it's definitely not bad. I got the shrimp wonton noodle soup and my husband got the braised pork over rice plate. Both were satisfactory, albeit a little bland. The service was good; we were greeted with smiles and welcomes upon walking in. I would recommend this place, if not for the food, then for the Instagrammability.

Despite unassuming looks, this spot is affordable, (relative to it's surroundings) and also manages to have tasty and filling meals! I came during a non-rush hour and was able to chat with who I believe was the owner, who turned out to be quite friendly. Based on the quality of the food, the value, and overall atmosphere, I know I'll come here again. Try grabbing some of the tea eggs to go as well, the aroma is intoxicating!

Very excited to have Taiwanese food here. Extensive menu including some Japanese items. I had their shrimp wonton soup, excellent! The shrimp were in the wontons, the broth was great and I loved the veggie selection in the soup. Definitely returning.

The owners are super sweet and the honey chicken wings and tea eggs are reminiscent of home for me as they are super authentic and home made. They also have little asian baked goodies and pastries which are ohhh so good! Prices are very reasonable and cheap and there is free wifi, making it a nice place to sit down and take a break. When the weather is good I recommend sitting outside for a nice breeze, and on colder days ordering a warm drink and sitting inside for a little warm haven from the day. Definitely will be coming here more often!

What great architecture! It looks like you're entering a little cottage. While I would think this place would serve European or brunch type of food based on the exterior, this place serves sandwiches and Asian food at a reasonable price. I ordered their shrimp wonton with noodle. The portion is great for the price. The wontons were nice and thick and I left feeling nice and satisfied. Pros: -yelp check in discount is honored here -the man who works here does everything! Takes your order, makes the food, and brings it to your table Cons: -street parking, no parking lot
