I was very disappointed in this place from a one-time visit that may have been a one-off incident. I walked out with $50 of coffee and sparkling water and got some pretty rude and pompous attitude and poor quality coffee. They have refunded me after this review, which is appreciated. However, I still don't understand the no touch policy and the way it's explained.
I asked to see the most recently roasted whole bean coffee bag to catch an aroma and was told, "we don't do that." I got an americano to see how the flavors were there and as I tested it out, I got an awkward interaction with the batista tapping her toes to make me decide quickly. I decided to go with a bag of coffee after to expedite our departure. There is 0 flavor or smell to this coffee. You can only smell the paper bag it's in. The roaster has taken the time to refund me and message back quickly, so this may have just been a bad day.

It was past noon when we arrived in Auckland, and there were not many options nearby.
So I ordered a latte and a sandwich to satisfy my hunger. The sandwiches and coffee are very good, but I can't find them with hundred-dollar bills, so I have to pay by credit card.

This is my new chai spot in Oakland! This chai is the real deal. Nice and spicy, and organic to boot. Almond and Oat milk available. The chai is unsweetened by default, but you can sweeten as needed. The pastries didn't appeal to me, but I was there on the later side. I'll be back for sure! (Maybe tomorrow....)
Was delighted to rediscover Rasa Caffe in this fresh, new space. A few years back I was a regular in the Ashby-adjacent space but had moved away. Don’t sleep on the Rose Latte - but regardless of what you order, it will be made with care and precision!!
