Horrible service by employee Wendy! Rude, Unprofessional, no customer service skills or etiquette. Almost left this place after that left us unattended at a table for over 25 minutes, if wasnt for another employee picking up her slack. Shameful. P.S the COOKS ARE AMAZING THANK YOU GUYS!!! 3 Stars for the cooks!!
Service has improved! Our food came so fast last time, I was suspicious. But that's better than the YEARS it used to take. I only like their vegan shakes & vegan nachos.😋
Amazing vegan diner/restaurant with DELICIOUS food, especially the “award winning fries†- no clue what award they won but they surely deserve it. All the dishes here are absolutely mouth watering and the staff is amongst the nicest I've interacted with anywhere in Berkeley. Highly recommend!
Service can be better. Only one person serving during lunch time. Not able to provide good service.
I am a vegan, and I absolutely love the food here! Great selection of vegan comfort food, great milkshakes! The only drawback, the service gets worse here every time I come. They are frequently out of items, my last 4 visits they could not make root beer floats. The last time I was here (yesterday) I wanted to try the vegan brownie sundae, but they stated they had no brownies (at 4 pm)! Also, anytime I need anything (more water, napkins, the check) I have to get up and ask for it. It's so frustrating. And some (not all) of the waitstaff are not friendly. When I ordered the brownies, the waiter said sternly "yeah no we can't make that." And then he just stared at me. My whole table said it was super awkward and uncomfortable. The poor service really makes me question whether I want to keep coming.
Super place for kids. Professional and friendly staff. Great and reliable. Everything is vegetarian. Many things are or can be made vegan. There are gluten free options. Rad shakes and desserts. Pancakes all the time!
I love this place!! Super eclectic/ fun menu. My veggie burger wasn't amazing last visit but the shakes were a hit. Would def go back to show friends the vegetarian/ jetsons/ 50s cafe diner theme. For me it's a Berkeley classic.
Friendly staff, service was fast once we got our order in, and the booths are fun. I give the food a B+ for the cost; I think the prices are a little steep but I don't get lunch often in Berkeley so I don't know what the market prices would be.
This place always makes me feel sick to my stomach after eating here. Everything on the menu always sounds amazing but never really lives up to how delicious vegan food can be. I was hoping to have myself a nice breakfast today and I arrived at 10:30. Should have been able to have breakfast since their hours are listed as opening at 10 AM! WRONG. These poopoo heads decided hanging a sign on their door saying they have new hours - opening at 11:30 - was sufficient. I drove half an hour.... are they going to pay for my parking? Or the gas I used? That would be nice.
Decent coffee and apple pie. (It did take a while for the apple pie to come out, they had it warmed up in the oven for quite a bit and the front filling was still a bit cold) But five star services! The waiter was helpful, respectful, enthusiastic and always had a sincerely smile.
Restaurantji Recommends
Two words: vegan nachos. Plus they have great happy hour deals. Little slower service, so get comfy and bring friends! Don't rush here :)
Great place for some really good vegan and vegetarian burgers. Also the drinks and desserts are awesome and are a must try. Diablo and California burgers are my personal recommendations. The service can be a bit slow on busy days but the staff is super friendly.
Fun restaurant for vegetarians! The menu has a wide variety as well. Love the 50's decor.
As an avid meat eater and milk and eggs consumer, I was a little skeptical about Saturn. But it was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. The pancakes were sweet and fluffy, though not too much, and I couldn't even tell they were vegan. The breakfast burrito with egg and sausage was filling and perfect. The coffee was amazing, organic, and fair trade. The wait was the perfect length. It wasn't too pricey. Staff was warm and welcoming. My favorite part, though, was the aesthetic. Perfectly retro and bright. Definitely coming again.
Vegetarian (NOT VEGAN). I'm an Health Conscious OmniVore (don't eat much meat, eggs nor diary).
